During the last page of this story, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse received a letter saying they won a free vacation with eight friends involved in future Disney projects.

Because Disney is working on a live-action film adaptation of Chip n Dale: Rescue Rangers, six of the eight friends are the Rescue Rangers Chip, Dale, Gadget, Zipper, Monterey Jack, and Foxglove.

The new publisher Joe Books is also going to release a remastered omnibus of the short-lived Darkwing Duck comic by Boom Studios as well as start publishing a new ongoing Darkwing Duck comic series next year, so the last two friends are Darkwing and Morgana McCawber.

After Mickey and Minnie invite the Rescue Rangers, D.W., and Morgana to come with them, we see the villains the Phantom Blot, Negaduck, and Fat Cat gloat that the heroes have fallen right into their trap.

Fat Cat asks the Blot if Mickey will notice that he escaped from prison, and the Phantom Blot explains that he prepared for it by having a dummy dressed to look like him propped up in his jail cell.

Now we see Mickey, Darkwing, and the others tie up the loose ends before they go on their all-expenses-paid vacation.

Mickey has Goofy look after his son Mickey III and his infant daughter Minerva because he knows from his relation with his son Max that Goofy is a good parent and logically a good babysitter.

Mickey also makes sure that Disney still has its projects in motion by having his friend Donald Duck call the shots, but he knows Donald too well, so he has also asked Donald's uncle Scrooge McDuck to make sure his nephew doesn't let his temporary power go to his head.

Darkwing Duck has decided to have Morgana's father Moloculo watch over his adopted daughter Gosalyn and his biological son Drake Mallard, Jr. while Gizmoduck is given the job of protecting St. Canard from crime while D.W. is away, even though Moloculo is prejudiced against normals and Gizmoduck is an established rival of Darkwing's.

As for the Rescue Rangers, they have assembled Tammy, Sparky, and Queenie as reserve members of the Rescue Rangers to take care of missions until they get back.
