Our story begins at the Mouse household, where Mickey Mouse is being a drama queen over the fact that he feels old because his son Mickey Mouse III is married and his daughter Minerva is now a teenager.
Minnie offers that they can make Mickey feel better if the two of them and at least two of their friends take some time off. Mickey agrees and asks that the only ones joining them be Donald Duck and Daisy Duck.
One thing I'd like to clarify here is that my Mickey Mouse comics go with the interpretation that the Mickey we know today is the son of the original black-and-white Mickey Mouse. And if anyone finds it odd that Mickey would marry a woman who has the same name as his mother, I'll point out that there is more than one name Minnie can be short for.
Minerva is the name for Mickey II's mother and his daughter is named for her. The full designation of Mickey II's wife is the made-up name Minniham, which I came up with because none of the other names Minnie could be short for seemed to fit her. If you must know, Mickey II's daughter-in-law is named Mina.
