ooooooooo, this is so pretty! specially the pheonix and the, elf? i think thats what she is. anyways this picture Reminds me of the book Eragon cuz the elf reminds me very much of Arya, who is an elf. and the red egg thinger reminds me of the beginning of Eragon, cuz Arya has and egg thinger like that, but its blue. hehe.........

The phoenix legend begun in Egypt. The sun (aka Ra) was believeed to rise in the morning as a young child and at sunset fade away as an old man, only to be reborn anew the next day.
In a part of chinese mythology however, the phoenix was perceived as a destructive force, due to it annihilating an entire village when it rose up again.
The phoenix is associated with destructive powers as well as rebirth, for there can be no rebirth without death preceding it, which is also why it bursts into flames before being reborn.
