I say WIP but aside from some minor details his design is pretty much completed.... on another subject I have yet to give him a background or even a name! I know how he fights, how he moves and his tactics but I just can't figure out the personality to give him...well anyway if you got any ideas throw them!

Weapons
-the rusted cleaver thing is inspired from a Kukri for those of you that are not as huge a fan of knife as I am... while the shape is similar it's size 2 times bigger
-that semi-circular knife is a Karambit. he has four of them not because he use them all once but it case he lose one or can't take one out of a body during a fight.
Ability
- He uses a special ink that he make himself to draw eyes (similar to his tattoos) that act as for him, his brain can ''switch channel'' as fast as he thinks... as long as the drawing is undamaged and within range (5 km radius) it will keep on working. he use his ability mostly to hunt... oh and yeah his tattoos are made of the same ink... so he have a 360 view at all time.
Combat Style
-I imagine him to be using a derivative of (look it up... it can be pretty dirty tactics)
-Traps
Note: for some reason (I need to find it) his skin has the particularity to accelerate the oxidation process in metal on the surface touched... which is why his earing and blades are rusted like fuck. (a bit because of blood too) It's not considered an ability because while it does accelerate the oxidation process it's not fast enough to actually be useful (more of a pain since he has to change his weapon every four year...

any time I'm a big knife buff and tattoo junky so this was a gold mine of bad ass. plus karambit and sword sized Kukri are too f***in cool

Oh yea i just found silat where i live but i saw how they teach in youtube looks waterdown towards other vids i seen. So i feel i should learn on my own or try get someone to train with.
But i think that's hard to do

Yeah I wouldn't recommend doing that it's important to have someone check on your techniques even more so with a martial art tricky like this...

Yes maybe i should look for arnis teacher because the silat guy i seen is teaching looks bad to me. it doesn't make any sense, Also who he got taught by a white dude and his teacher is whiter dude too.
Or maybe the main dude got self taught so idk that could of happen. then claim it's silat. beside i got lot of silat books and videos of the internet.
I wish i live in cali tho there a guy there that knows silat and arnis the combination of both is bad ass. arnis have strong weapons holding then silat including it's much faster and silat got more variation attacking head to toes plus joints breaking.
But i think these arts are best to know dealing with weapons my background of Martial art is kinds big. Cause i use what works

-check out this website's forum [link] if you make a quick search you will easily find which school is bullshit and which one's the true thing.
-If you can't find any good school for the styles your looking for, you might wanna check out for Kali and JKD. They fit in what you're looking for (I think)
I do Kali and it's pretty fucking great! Also the gym I train at is owned by Sled Dog, which is pretty useful since I want to become a Dog Brother...

Yes I've been knowing about Bullshito for years. there lot amount of MMA asshole jocks in that place also trolls. it's just better to check yourself out and do the research when picking the school. Also helps knowing MA and knowing What people talking about/history.
Like i known for a fact That there a bunch of Mcdojo's in Korean and Chinese style also kempo schools. But i don't much of arnis and silat but i could tell if it BS or not.
For example in a TKD there lot Mcdojo. if your teacher said things like "Tea kwon do is the best art in the world and JEW kra maga is bullshit" This seriously happened to me lol. This is why i hate WTF TKD and i have more respect to ITF TKD.
Once i heard about this Kempo school. I had a weird vibes visiting this place, while being there there you know typical kempo master with Big Gut with BS stories lol(like i split open a punching bag with a roundhouse).
I ignore that then try out the class just to see the training is Good or bad. The work out is gay(to me it's warm up lol)you know they keep asking if i'm ok then you see the Fat master out of breath.
then they made me do basic stuff like the "I"kata's. then made medo this hit my own gi for sound affect's it was freaking gay. I know at the same time its about learning and working hard. but i felt like idk.
Afterward i get home I research this guys criminal record to see he's a Sex Offender/Rape my reaction was like -_- whut? lol..
AS for Kung fu i think it's design healt. if use for self defend it's for thugs not not MMA practice hardcore. Not unles you practice hard core with kung fu it take years to master since it's mysterious art.

Over here there's plenty of tkd mcdojo... So much that I don't even want to try myself with it...
As for kempo and kung-fu... I'm not much of a fan of chinese martial arts... They have strayed too much of their origins... not to mention that there's a lot of bullshit going around them as well.
Personally I prefer to go for lesser known systems since there's less people trying to replicate them... I also go for recent ones since they don't have the time to create shitty legends around them either...

The huge kukri is definitely an interesting idea, however im concerned, simply theoretically, with the idea of it. It looks like with the size of it, the blade might be too unbalanced. It's just a theory though, i cant be certain. I always thought that the closest thing to the sword version of Kukri, were the Falcata. Its funny i recently designed something with two 13inch kukri as main weapons XD [link] |5c5555 these to be precise. I love those puppies.
But in nay case, back to the piece, the pain on the character is very inspired, Its patterns flow along the body so perfectly its almost difficult to stop looking at them. The overall design you have for him, does indeed hint that he is not exactly a simple warrior, but he delves into more occult/supernatural thing. I believe that aside from the paint, the hair and his phenotype hint to that most. In fact, his body looks very realistic, and not over-idealised. Something that you font find very often lately, its a nice breath of fresh air.
Overall a very enjoyable concept in a very nice style, well done! I also like the oxidation detail, it really seems like this character is more in depth than a simple concept : )

Cool! thanks! I'm happy that you noticed the oxidation! I will need to rework the overall rendering of this character, although the design will roughly stay the same, I feel like he isn't at the peek of what my artistic ability can really do... well then again that's why it's still a WIP...
Also I'm glad to meet an other fellow fan of the fine blades...
As for the big kukri, while the Falcata is indeed the sword version of the kukri, it's blade does not feature a crooked angle as big as the kukri, while it's size does unbalance the blade, it is intended. The way I see that gigantic kukri is more like a huge cleaver that he would swing around then a fast and nimble machete, like the kukri was designed for. There's also that slighlty disturbing detail that doesn't show up on the Falcata (because it feature a handle) You might not know this, (well I learned it not so long ago) but I'm sure that you noticed a weird nook in the blade close to the handle of the kukri, that nook has one and only purpose, letting the blood drip so that it won't get on the handle and slip from your hand. Then again if the nook is large enough I guess you could also open beers with it...
