Description Thoughts: Another fast sketch, and another image of the technocratic genius and dictator, Julian Robotnik.

I have always pictured his robotic arm as something of a curiosity. It would appear to offer tremendous benefits, among them an ability to become a complex interface between Robotnik and his literally towering span of technology and devices. Two types of cables are seen inserted into ports just at the joint of his outer shoulder, while two more are clamped onto the area which would have been the radial tendon of his forearm and the opposing segment of his wrist.... But, just as much as he is known to make use of the extended capabilities granted to him by that artificial limb, he is also known to hate it's existence due to some failures in the past. In that tense dichotomy, there is something nearly perverse, or profane. Perhaps it is a suitable reflection of the undercurrents which run though his mind.

I've little to comment upon in this instance, except that I was simply working towards a design more reminiscent of his classical SatAM appearence. Of his expression, there is something a little unsettling there - just what is it that he is bekconing one towards?

Details: Basic exercise sketch.

Materials: Mechanical pencil, sketchbook paper.

Cynicide: Being a fast sketch, there are many notable errors I haven't bothered to correct.

This is some pretty sweet stuff! It's a shame most users avoid the scraps sections.

Heh, thank you, Saber...

I understand that most of this Scraps area is avoided. It's a mere choice of mine to separate my works instead by a division of invested time and intent, rather than simply leave most everything to the Deviations section. A quirk, perhaps, or maybe just a sort of discipline.

I am glad that you have had the patience to view what is here, regardless. Hopefully it has proven enjoyable, and perhaps inspiring.

Thanks again, Saber.

I think I'd walk towards whatever Julian told me to. Honestly, what's the worst he could do, roboticization? Besides, in case my name wasn't a dead givaway, I'm a Robotnik fan. Anyways, this is beautifully drawn, right down to that smirk.

Thank you, Kit-Botnik. Thank you also for sharing your regard as to Julian. It is clear that there are many who possess a meaningful view and memory of him and his comparative uniqueness as of the many types of Sonic material.

It is a pity - or perhaps a testament - that his characterization has not been replicated so far to date.

As for the sketchwork, I manage only what I can by grace of luck and what dedication I can manage.

I always dream about seeing him in the games, but then people get uptight about Eggman not being there. Apparently, Julian is too 'dark' for an appearance in a game...anyways, your drawings are always awesome. I love the way you draw him; you don't just show him, but you somehow manage to include his aura as well. Not many people can do that.

Thank you kindly for that compliment.

I agree in that there is a marked difference between Eggman and Julian Robotnik... I see both sides as stemming from the same general concept, but not from the same edge of potential. To many, Robotnik holds a depth and sinister quality which Eggman hardly seems to parallel.

Thank you for your regards. Quiet though this branch of my effort has been, the potential remains as a useful and curious latency.

Heh, yes, his out-held hand and his insane grin lend to many a possible interpretation... Not to mention that both his genius and insanity also add an air of unorthodox possibility and threat.

Thanks, Brittsdemesne.

At least he did it quite well. AoStH's Robotnik was a retard, and Eggman's just lame. SatAM Robotnik had game.

And you're very welcome.

No, Julian. Why would I want to see the woodshed? You say you have a new axe to show me?

Now why would I want to see that? What's that? New ergonomic handle design?

Hot damn! I'll be right over!

Greetings, AtomicDexter.

It seems there may be some distant allusion I am missing here? That, or it may simply be that there is something not quite right in his expression, like it's the last one you'll see...

In any case, thank you for gracing this with a bit of humor. It reminds me of one of my old favorite exercises, dagger-throwing. Very good for one's wrists, hand-eye coordination, and arm strength. I've never tried axe/hatchet throwing, but supposedly it has some fascinating nuances.

Yes, thank you, Genocyber.

As a basic sketch, I had not thought through many of the details in depth, but in their appearence they are fair enough. It's the opinions of others which matter to me more than the given regard which I have of my own work.

Yes, yes of course... Don't take any offers from the madman. Then again, if you're in that position in the first place, the chances are that you will have no choice.

... Just back away slowly, and then break into a run as soon as you feel it's best.

Of course, edging towards the psychotic genius is also an option, as both are equally dangerous. It depends on your perspective.
