Well I was looking for something to paint for practice and got inspired to do a lil homage to Steve Reeves. I was trying to just paint without worrying about detail too much, or getting proper proportions etc. Just trying to get loose and overcome my fear of painting. trying to focus more on angles, shapes and how they all relate to one another. I'm thinking about using this as my model for Shazam. He could be reaching up calling down the lighting.Related content

Good physique for CM; not sure about the 'wild hair' though. this would have certainly been the ideal superhero physique when he was conjured up (no pun intended).

Yeah I'll be changing the hair for sure. What I really wanted was to find some current actor who would fit the bill if they ever made the movie. No luck so far.

i thought the first suggestion of casting against type using dwayne johnson was workable, but it'd have to be someone who could pull off childish goofy

As far as looks go, I saw a guy on the new Battlestar Galactica mini-series that had it. It was in a flash back scene where roslyn was still a teacher and had a one nighter with the guy. Soon as I saw this guy I thought "he could be Capt. Marvel." Never seen him again in anything else and don't know the name. Oh well. the search continues.
