I will admit, this isn't my favorite piece of your artwork.
That being said, it does still have your touch and flair for movement. The tonality and colorization in this piece is moody and forlorn. Coupled with the slower movement and subtle shifts works well. The lighter colors spiraling and sinking into the darker colors of despair can be quite powerful if you take the moment to truly peer into the depths of this piece.
This is a far more subtle piece that a lot of your work, and for that you should be praised. Subtlety is difficult to express by masters of any medium, and you do manage that here.
I think what is throwing me off is the light blue-white, mixed with the oranges, corals and deep purples. It still fits in the color palette but it almost seems out of place to me.
Still, a beautiful piece, as always.
