it's took me ages(more than 100hrs), started in spring '12 and finished few days ago (fall '13)
format A3, merged from four scans, slightly edited contrast and some highlight, cause scans look so pale!
mostly used my hands, mech. pencils HB & 2B and tons of smudging tools..
it's far from perfect, but I'm satisfied.. horever one thing drives me crazy and will probably chase me in my nightmares till I die.. I put her mouth pretty low and it's look so odd.. atleast for me

holy shit this amazing although i totally understand how you feel about the mouth being too low (i personally can't see it), i see that a lot in my work and when i do notice it's too late brilliant work though

i can not find any fault in this, though i know how you feel about one thing driving you batty. just kinda stretching for an explanation here, but perhaps the mouth seems low to you becuz her head seems tall/long due to the tentacles on top of her head.
would have loved to see some creatures caught in those tentacles! no criticism there, just my imagination.
as a greek myth and greek trageedy enthusiast, this is one of the best portrayals of a Medusa- i've ever seen, regardless of medium, easily!
