Since I had so much fun making my mechanical beetle sketch, I really wanted to create another mechanical steampunk-style animal. This one kinda looks like it could be a Super Mario Bros. boss.This time I used charcoal in my sketchbook... which isn't the best paper for fine-detailed charcoal work. However, I think it turned out ok for this rough sketch. It did allow me to get some decent contrast.
It's an abstract design with a lot of mechanical nonsense bits going on. I had fun🙂
