Hello! Iβm here again from ProjectComment.
Just like your other piece I commented on, this is amazing. The imagination shown in this, down to the smallest details, is well beyond anything I could come up with. Itβs truly impressive, and I hope youβre very proud of this work.
Specifically, what I mean is the little things like the folds in the materials between the metal plates that form the turtleβs flippers. I never would have thought of that, but you did and you drew it in with great attention to detail, showing off every fold. Maybe Iβm off for being so fascinated by that, but itβs just done so well, it doesnβt really even stand out. I feel like I could stare at this image, with the swirls along the shell plates and the symmetry of the gears and cogs β for hours and not get bored (okay, thatβs an exaggeration, but you get what I mean). I really do feel like this could be a plan for creating a real wind up turtle, though. Iβm jealous of the strength of your lines and how well your circles and such turned out.Β
The one and only critique I can bring myself to make of this is that the fish on the background donβt really bring anything to it, style-wise. Iβm assuming they were added just to make the image more interesting and to fill some dead space, but I think it might look better either with more realistic fish, or maybe make believe engineering plan details like real life schematics have.
That said, I was stretching to find something in need of improvement here. This is really great.
Okay, thatβs all I have for now. If there's anything I missed that you were hoping to get a comment on, let me know and I'll swing by again.
Kevin

Thank you so much! You're so kind Using "make believe engineering" like maybe geometrical figures or maths diagrams in the background is a really great idea, will definitely be trying in future!

Pretty cute. Would this mechanism last for hundreds of years?

Probably might rust

Especially with that sea water, unless it was made of gold or something.
