Description
Manarola, Cinque Terre - Italy.Manarola is one of the Cinque Terre, it means Five Lands, but a more appropiate translation is the Five Villages. They are, from east to west, Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides form the Cinque Terre National Park.
The Cinque Terre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site .

omg, yay! I've been thumbing through dA for a couple days now, looking for photos that would represent a certain city in a book I'm writing. Rather difficult to paint a picture with words when you're having trouble picturing it in the first place. I had seen photos of the Cinque Terre before, as it turns out, but I never knew what they were called. So thanks for the geography lesson and the wonderful photo.
