Manarola, Cinque Terre - Italy.Manarola is one of the Cinque Terre, it means Five Lands, but a more appropiate translation is the Five Villages. They are, from east to west, Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides form the Cinque Terre National Park.
The Cinque Terre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site .

I really like this! The cropping is very effective in moving the eye about the photo, allowing for focus on the main object. But what I love about this scene is that the more I look at it, the more detail I see (for example, I didn't notice the people on the shoreline for several minutes). I also really like the perspective from which you took the photo - straight across worked beautifully. Bravo!

Amazing capture! I love the fact that all the buildings are of a more neutral warm tone, yet the windows and doors are green and teal, gives a really interesting splash of contrast. The dark water really helps give the picture a nice heavy bottom that the color houses help move the eyes upward to the lovely green hills in the background. I love the composition of it extremely.

Haha. I think borders (as long as they are simple ones) dress up any picture and make it look professional.
