This was first made back in 2013 to celebrate 22 years of Doctor Eggman/Robotnik and have been updating it ever since. He went through a lot of makeovers & changes in games, cartoons, comics & other media.

Name: Teddy Roosevelt
Appearance: Concept image

Originally designed by Naoto Oshima. Eggman had a more friendlier image and was even considered to be Sega’s new mascot hero. He also used to appear wearing a Bee costume too. Apparantly the appearance of The 26th President of the United States in pajamas doesn’t give the appearance of a mad scientist and wouldn’t indimidate Sonic much, or that Sonic, his friends and the zones of Mobius were the results of Roosevelt’s dreams after eating too much cheese.

Name: Evil Humpty Dumpty

There have been various theories on the origins of Doctor Eggman ( Doctor Robotnik as we used to call him in the 90’s). Some say he used to be a scientist called Doctor Kintobor who befriended Sonic and gave him the super-speed & blue fur. A lab experiment gone wrong made him a mad scientist who imprisioned animals in his robot army. Another theory was that he used to be an egg-shaped person called Humpty Dumpty who got accidentally pushed off a wall by a hedgehog and he was so damaged physically & mentally that all of G.U.N’s Soldiers couldn't repair him. Also, the reason he wears sunglasses is because Sonic once dared him to a staring contest with the Sun. It made his eyeballs melt which is why he appears to have no eyes in old promotional images & the cover of Sonic 2, HE HAS EMPTY EYE SOCKETS!! Also he never got sued by the galactic empire for stealing The Death Star design without permission.

Name: The Creepy Ringmaster
Apperance: Issue 4 of Sonic the Comic, Sonic Spinball

A very obscure version of Doctor Robotnik. Either this is him in a one-off guise or a robot double of him who acts in his stead. In the issue in question, Sonic gets turned into a Badnik & tails would nearly follow the same fate. Robotnik wants Tails to collect & destroy Star Posts to prevent anyone entering the Special Zone which he has conquered. However, Badnik Sonic rebels & forces the Metal Mustache to let him & his friends go. In a super-villian fashion he makes his getaway,vowing his revenge like he’s Doctor Claw or something.

Name: The President of Youtube.
Apperances: Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Comic, Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine.

This Version of Robotnik would probably be most peoples introduction to him if they didn’t play the games at the time, and would probably be mistaken as a ripoff of Yosamite Sam. In the Cartoon, Robotnik Wants complete domination of Mobius with his Robot underlings Scratch & Grounder but the dynamic duo, Sonic & Tails keeps foiling his plans. Robotnik has a british charm & would sometimes overreact & eat a lot of scenery which isn’t good for his weight. The launch of Youtube & the Youtube Poop movement popularized him, due to his goofy acting & facial expressions. He was once voted Sexiest man of the year & the president of Youtube. Also they often make him say rude words including the infamous “Pingas”.
However in Sonic the Comic he was competent & sinister, almost like The Joker in some ways. And he had a fondness for sentient Jelly Beans.

Name: The terrifying Dictator
Appearances: Sonic SATAM, Sonic Underground, Archie Sonic Comic (first 50 or so issues)

If you thought Adventures of STH’s Robotnik looked & acted silly, this version was quite the opposite, looking like a fat scary cyborg. He also appears to be one of those people that pretends to be a little girl on the internet. He has conquered Mobius with his robotic army plunging it into a post-apocalyptic world. He is able to turn organic beings into metal using a ‘Robotosization process’. He also has a nephew associate named Snively who often tries to secretly usurp him. Also he may be related to the Harkonnen’s on Giedi Prime.

Name: The Walrus Scientist
Appearances: Dreamcast, Gamecube, GBA,DS, early Wii, Xbox,PS2,PSP & PC era Sonic Games, Sonic X, Archie Sonic Comic ( issue 75 onwards)

A new Robotnik for a new generation. Dr. Eggman adopted his original name from the east and appears as a more elegantly dressed scientist with two large brushes up his nose. Unlike in the old days where he tries to capture animals and put them into robots, he tries to befriend & control ancient monsters like Chaos, the works of his Grandfather and also tried to upgrade Metal Sonic to shape shift and copy abilities. However he would get betrayed by them and would have no choice but to join forces with his most hated enemy to combat the more greater threat. In the end he would get chased off by Knuckles or Vector in a comical fashion.

Name: The Big Guy.
Apperance: Sonic The Comic (from issue 178) Sonic the Comic online.

After some incident with an alien race called The Plaxx which nearly made him godlike,Dr. Robotnik got himself a new jacket. Unlike in the game version of Sonic Adventure, Chaos was an intelligent being who spoke and sought to use the Chaos Emeralds for his own deeds. Also Super Sonic got involved who was separated by Sonic and was the Hyde to Sonic’s Jekyll. Knowing the end was near, Robotnik’s brain broke and went nuts.
His henchman in this series was a scientist called Grimer who looks like James Bond who fell in Toxic Waste and ended up looking like a Villian from ‘Toxic Crusaders’.

Name: The flying Ace.
Appearance: Sonic Riders games.

Dressing up as Pilot, Eggman challenges Sonic & friends to a race with Hoverboards to get the Chaos emeralds. There's also something about ancient Babylonians which may or may not have Hoverboards and there are also these bird characters involved. He also sees himself as a racing champion, even though he keeps crashing & burning his vehicles and getting his driving license suspended for going over the speed limit whilst drunk.

Name: The Man with the Golden Udders.
Apperance: Sonic ‘06 (Xbox 360 & PS3)

For the HD Console generation, Dr. Eggman decided to step up his game and decided to get himself a makeover & go on a diet. He also ditched his goggles as well. In the end he ended up looking like a bald version of Alfred Molina with a giant mustache. He took a leaf out of the book of well known Video Game Villains like Bowser & Ganondorf who both kidnap princesses and decided to kidnap a princess himself, who looks like a Final Fantasy character. He not only wanted the Chaos emeralds off Princess Elise but he also wanted to make her cry to unleash the flames of disaster using a magic stick so he could control time & space or something. Somehow he finds making women cry challenging. He doesn’t appear to hate Sonic that much as he wasn’t jumping for joy when Sonic got killed. He also didn’t mind seeing Elise kissing Sonic’s corpse and it might be his thing or something. When time got rewritten, Eggman wondered what the hell he was wearing and decided to go back on a Dorito & cake eating binge to get his figure back.

Name: The Evil-er Twin/Descendant.
Apperances: Sonic Rush games, Sonic Rivals games, Mario & Sonic at the Winter & London Olympic games.

Hailing from an alternate universe. Eggman Nega is the nemesis of Blaze the Cat and is a lot more ruthless & cruel than Eggman. He is so cruel he likes to pull wings off butterflies. He also claims to be his descendant. But it turns out that he’s really his father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roommate.

Name: The Sultan
Apperance: Sonic & the Secret Rings (Wii)

In a storybook universe where Sonic characters resemble characters from the Arabian nights, Eggman plays the role of the Sultan who may or may not be the sultan who marries women & executes them the next day, only to be told stories by Scheharzade with cliffhangers in order to prolonge her execution. The sultan got kidnapped by a Roc on orders by Erazor Jinn who sounds like the Smash Bros Brawl announcer if he was a game show host. He gets rescued by Sonic who’s doing his best Will Shatner impersonations & his Genie friend Shara who might give Jeannie a run for her money.

Name: Baldy Mc’Nosehair.
Apperances: Sonic Unleashed onwards.

Realizing his sexy slim appearance in Sonic 06 wasn't working out, Dr. Eggman decided to go back to his old look by eating out 50 bakeries & a Dorito’s factory. Although he looks much as he did in the early 2000’s, Eggman has a high collar, a more realistic mustache and now has ears so he can hear Sonic’s insults. He might have a furry fetish as he turned Sonic into a werehog without batting an eyelid. In Sonic Colours he created 2 robot henchmen Orbot & Cubot making them the first in game henchmen duo outside of Sonic comics & cartoons. He did successfully create a themepark in space as a front for imprisoned aliens and controlled a space-time monster to team up with his past self. Whilst it looks like he wants to control Time, he basically wanted to eat Easter Eggs, Creame Eggs & Mince Pies any time he wants. Sadly this made him and his younger self end up in limbo. So he decided to end up being a Maths teacher. Managed to reclaim the role as villain from other evil characters like the Time Eater and the Deadly Six. Also managed to take over the world but was quickly overthrown by a Merry Band of freedom fighters led by 2 versions of Sonic and an OC character. Might one day return with an 'Eggkiller Base'.

Name: The Red Baron
Appearance: Sonic Boom (TV Show/3DS/WiiU/Comic)

For a new fourth Sonic TV show and games. Doctor Eggman has been changed to the new 'Sonic Boom' universe which is like what 'Ultimate' Marvel is to Marvel Comic. Ditching the nipple..buckle things he has a more slimmer shape and wearing an outfit that gives him a steampunk look which kinda looks like what Captain Kirk wore in the Star Trek movies. He also has a nifty gauntlet thing as well. Eggman will still be taking on his nemesis Sonic & his friends which have also undergone changes like wearing sports tape and giving Knuckles a trip to the gym.
Apart from making robots that do not fit the name like 'Burn-Bot', he is basically an annoying neighbour character to Sonic and the inhabitants of the island by giving them a bad day but also hangs out with his rivals from time to time. Orbot and Cubot also appear as his 'minions/janitors'. Also his fussiness over food prepared by Sonic & Tails might imply that he originally wanted to be a food critic.

Name: Egg ventura: Pet Destroyer
Apperance: The Sonic Movie (2020)

With who could be an evil version of Ace Ventura,this version of Robotnik grew up alone in an orphange and was bullied a lot in school. But he turned to 2 things to get him through life. His combat skills and his brilliant mind. He became a goverment scientist who treats the people around him like shit and relies on his technology to get the job done. With his mobile base, his drones and his assistant Agent Stone (who's makes good Latte's) he is tasked to investigate a mysterious energy reading from the sleepy town of Green Hills,only to end up chasing a powerful blue Alien Hedgehog and a cop who is aiding in his escape. Loves to dance and play with holograms. His favourite band is The Poppy Family.

Name: The Dashing Pilot
Apperance: The Sonic Movie (2020)

After Robotnik discovers one of the Alien hedgehog's quills in Stone's pocket and decided to analyze it, he discovers it contains amazing powers so he decided to utilize it to capture the hedgehog and use it's powers for himself. So with his Jet glider and his 'Flight Suit' (which are NOT Pyjamas) he confronted the Hedgehog in San Fransisco and activated the quill so he could match it's speed and chase it all over the world, as The Hedgehog has magic rings that teleported them to different places leading to a final confrontation back in Green Hills.

Name: The Handsome One
Apperance: Sonic the Hedgehog Movie (2020) Sonic the Hedgehog Movie 2 (2022) Sonic Pre-Quill Comic (2022)

In an unexpected turn of events, the Alien Hedgehog unleashed it's full power on Robotnik's Jet, drained the energy from the quill and destroyed it, as well as sending him through a ring banishing him. Trapped on a strange world full of Mushrooms, Robotnik spent his months growing out his moustache and shaved his head, but the isolation drove him mad. However, Robotnik is still plotting his revenge on The Blue Hedgehog and he who calls himself 'Donut Lord' as there is still energy left in the quill. And of course Agent stone is there to keep him company..as an actual rock. One Day he will return home in time for christmas. until then he makes elaborate traps and a contraption that makes mushroom coffee. He also used a flamethrower on Prianha plant ripoffs.

Name: The Crazy Pimp

Apperance: Sonic the Hedgehog Movie 2 (2022)

Using Sonic's quill and parts from his ship. Robotnik creates a beacon to send out a signal. He gets a visit from Knuckles who's been hunting Sonic and agrees to take the Echidna warrior to Earth. After Sonic escapes with the help of Tails, Robotnik contacts Agent Stone (who converted a coffee shop into a base of operations) sending an Egg pod via satellite with a new army of egg drones and an new outfit. Keeping the Professor X/Monopoly Man look, Robotnik forms an alliance with Knuckles after doing weird dances and acting batshit crazy due to being isolated on the Mushroom world and overdosing on magic mushrooms. They will use any means nessecary to find and protect the Master Emerald and Crush the Blue Hedgehog.Little does Knuckles know that Robotnik is planning to obtain the Emerald of great power for his own evil ends, as it grants its user godlike powers.

Name: The Supervillian

Appearance: Sonic the Hedgehog Movie 2 (2022)

After finding the Master Emerald in an ancient Temple, Knuckles ends up in an epic fight with Sonic. Whilst distracted, Robotnik betrays Knuckles and obtains the Emerald for himself. Unlike other versions of Robotnik using the Master Emerald to power a superweapon. Robotnik turns himself into a being of unimagable power, sporting a green and black makeover as well as making his voice auto-tuned (and playing with holograms). Even though G.U.N confiscated all his government privaleges, his funding and his tech. Robotnik uses his new powers to strip away all metal from G.U.N's tanks and anything metal nearby to transform himself into a giant Robotic titan of destruction. Even though its a bit similar to Neo Metal Sonic's abilities from Sonic Heroes. Robotnik's giant robot has a snot beam and a Mustache crusher. Robotnik plans to obliterate Green Hills and enslave all of humanity, as well as conquring the universe and the multiverse. However, with the united friendship of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, The trio made Robotnik lose his Emerald powers and destroy the giant Robot. Robotnik's fate is left uncertain and might have escaped. So we've yet to see him return in Sonic the movie 3, If Jim Carrey returns to the role after retiring or not.

After Robotnik discovers one of the Alien hedgehog's quills in Stone's pocket and decided to analyze it, he discovers it contains amazing powers so he decided to utilize it to capture the hedgehog and use it's powers for himself. So with his Jet glider and his 'Flight Suit' (which are NOT Pyjamas) he confronted the Hedgehog in San Fransisco and activated the quill so he could match it's speed and chase it all over the world, as The Hedgehog has magic rings that teleported them to different places leading to a final confrontation back in Green Hills.

In an unexpected turn of events, the Alien Hedgehog unleashed it's full power on Robotnik's Jet, drained the energy from the quill and destroyed it, as well as sending him through a ring banishing him. Trapped on a strange world full of Mushrooms, Robotnik spent his months growing out his moustache and shaved his head, but the isolation drove him mad. However, Robotnik is still plotting his revenge on The Blue Hedgehog and he who calls himself 'Donut Lord' as there is still energy left in the quill. And of course Agent stone is there to keep him company..as an actual rock. One Day he will return home in time for christmas. until then he makes elaborate traps and a contraption that makes mushroom coffee. He also used a flamethrower on Prianha plant ripoffs.

Name: The Crazy Pimp

Apperance: Sonic the Hedgehog Movie 2 (2022)

Using Sonic's quill and parts from his ship. Robotnik creates a beacon to send out a signal. He gets a visit from Knuckles who's been hunting Sonic and agrees to take the Echidna warrior to Earth. After Sonic escapes with the help of Tails, Robotnik contacts Agent Stone (who converted a coffee shop into a base of operations) sending an Egg pod via satellite with a new army of egg drones and an new outfit. Keeping the Professor X/Monopoly Man look, Robotnik forms an alliance with Knuckles after doing weird dances and acting batshit crazy due to being isolated on the Mushroom world and overdosing on magic mushrooms. They will use any means nessecary to find and protect the Master Emerald and Crush the Blue Hedgehog.Little does Knuckles know that Robotnik is planning to obtain the Emerald of great power for his own evil ends, as it grants its user godlike powers.

Name: The Supervillian

Appearance: Sonic the Hedgehog Movie 2 (2022)

After finding the Master Emerald in an ancient Temple, Knuckles ends up in an epic fight with Sonic. Whilst distracted, Robotnik betrays Knuckles and obtains the Emerald for himself. Unlike other versions of Robotnik using the Master Emerald to power a superweapon. Robotnik turns himself into a being of unimagable power, sporting a green and black makeover as well as making his voice auto-tuned (and playing with holograms). Even though G.U.N confiscated all his government privaleges, his funding and his tech. Robotnik uses his new powers to strip away all metal from G.U.N's tanks and anything metal nearby to transform himself into a giant Robotic titan of destruction. Even though its a bit similar to Neo Metal Sonic's abilities from Sonic Heroes. Robotnik's giant robot has a snot beam and a Mustache crusher. Robotnik plans to obliterate Green Hills and enslave all of humanity, as well as conquring the universe and the multiverse. However, with the united friendship of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, The trio made Robotnik lose his Emerald powers and destroy the giant Robot. Robotnik's fate is left uncertain and might have escaped. So we've yet to see him return in Sonic the movie 3, If Jim Carrey returns to the role after retiring or not.
