"Sons of Hyrule! Of the Gorons! My brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men & Women fail, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Hyrulians comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Warriors of Hyrule!"As i wanted to do something to celebrate 10 years on Deviantart I decided to remake one of the first pictures I submitted to this account. I started off with submitting various Legend of Zelda fanart which I did a lot of back then and it was either Ganondorf as Freddy Kruger or Princess Zelda leading her armies into battle.
As you can tell this was based on the Poster of 'Lord of the rings: The Return of the King' which showed Aragorn on horseback leading his armies into battle to fulfill his destiny as king of Gondor. i29.tinypic.com/2l9ryp3.jpg I wanted to do the same to Princess Zelda depicting her as a fearless warrior and noble leader with the armies of Hyrule behind her. (Including Link, her champion and Darunia, her Ally). Originally I was going to have Zelda wear something simmilar to what Aragorn wore at the Black Gate like the original version of the pic I did. But then I saw her Hyrule Warriors outfit and it seems more fitting for her and would make her look more updated.
So I hope you like it and heres to 10 years of being on Deviantart showing wonderful pictures and having my skills improve in the last decade. ( I joined here in late September 2004 and started submitting art to my main gallery around this time)

That would also be the most awesome thing though either the mounts would have to be either horses, Wolfs, Boars, Loftwings and it would keep on going for more and more though someday some certain game would be like a Dynasty warriors someday but that would mean Pokémon would even be like Dynasty warriors just that the fact it would be like sending a Zorua against Thousands of Pikachus or a larger Pokémon could be a boss class.
But they might someday make an actually Dynasty Warriors with Pokémon cause it did talk about the Pokémon from along time ago in a large Battle against one another and ho knows they might bring back the war and people can understand the Pokémon while they speak English but their trainers still don't understand them.

Indeed. You can even play as Ganondorf and mash up the armies of Hyrule like when Sauron smacked away soldiers at the beginning of Fellowship of the Ring.

I'll say that for Zelda. She's not just your run-of-the-mill damsel-in-distress princess... she is at least a royal who actually tries to get things done! Just that in doing so she still needs a green-clad hero of legend to get her out when it involves her being captured...

Yeah, in recent games she does get more involved. I think I also took inspiration from Joan of Arc who was a armoured woman who lead a french army into battle against the English.

Yup, quite a teenager, that Joan of Arc!
(I learned a fair bit about her through the Age of Empires II campaign game, as well as guys like William Wallace, Genghis Khan, Attila the Hun and El Cid)

I take it not only LOTR inspired you but also that battle game: "Warriors of Hyrule" also gave you some inspiration as well? I could almost hear the thundering of the equine hooves as she marches into battle!

Yeah I was a huge legend of zelda & LOTR fan in the 2000's and drew a lot of fanart which inspired the original version.
