LOl! That's because nowhere on this planet can you see a view like that in the sky. If that's supposed to be one of the spirals of the Milky Way, the arms go across the sky, not up & down. You usually need a telescope to see something like this, that close. Makes me curious as to what camera was used, lens, & filters.

Well here in Western Australia when it rises it appears as it does here. It is not straight up and down but slightly tilted to the left. I have not seen it run across the sky here. It may do at a certain point as the worlds revolving but I am yet to see it.
As far as what equipment was used. Canon 5d mkII, canon 16-35mm 2.8, no filters
