Description Finally say good bye to black and hello to white
First proper non black 2D dock for Snow Leopard.
Just like the standard 2D leopard dock... only white (and with a drop shadow )

To install just copy and past contents to you're dock app resource folder (after backing up of course!)

You need to be 'root' to do this. when i did this, it messed the GUI up, i could not click on things, and some app's CPU usage jumped up alarmingly, like cherryblom says restoring the original files sorted the problem out. but even repairing the permissions on the (new, white) files did not work. so backup everyone. or you could be facing a re-install ..

-- update-- rebooted and cant click on any button, scrollbar or anything other than dock icons anywhere on the bottom half of the screen, move the window i'm using up screen, so the button i need to click on is on the top half of the screen, and it clicks respond correctly. very weird !

lol no need for a re-install. the white dock files don't affect the system. the images used to render the dock are just a lot bigger than normal. and as a result they cover part of the screen making anything under it un-clickable

Hey, Don't worry about the comment I made earlier. I now understand why I wasn't able to select anything on the bottom row of my folders in finder.

This is a really nice dock! Thank for sharing~

The only problem I have it that I've installed it and it worked but any of the files in finder no matter what folder it may be, if I try and select it with my mouse it wont work. I can only select the last files by selecting another file in the same folder and using the short cut keys to open it. Has this happened to you, or am I the only one?

I know, it's has something to do with changing the files in the dock resource folder because I deleted it and I was able to select the last files in my folders. But when I re-installed it the same problem happened again. Do you know why this might be happening or if it may be damaging my mac? :/

awesome BTW

If you make them the size of the original dock then the background will no longer be white.

How do you install this exactly? Where is the dock app resource folder?

oh do you mean it kind of doubles up on its self ? if you set it to small the two images used to render the sides of the dock overlap.

You're welcome. Though an easy way to fix the problem is to just set the dock to auto hide. worked for me.
