Hekate from Skies Aren't Blue, a series byA belated birthday gift for JutaWi
I really wanted to draw Hekate, mostly because of how her design goes well with my style ^^ that sword, that wing, that terrifying mask she has, it was just too tempting too pass up. And lemme tell you, that wing was one of the most challenging things I've drawn in a long while, mostly because of how much stuff is behind it and I had to make sure it wouldn't blend and mix together too much both during drawing and scanning.
Also, choosing a pose to have all her equipment and the wing on display wasn't easy. But in the end, I really love how it came out and I hope you guys will like it as well, especially JutaWi

All the different parts, all the details, it made her difficult to pose the way I really wanted to, but also kinda hyped XD

Yeah, sometimes the harder it is to pull off, the more satisfying and fun it is in the end
Although, other times, being too difficult can just make things frustrating X'D

Yeah, that badass mask really is terrifying. And wow, that sword is huge! It's even more of a shield than her actual shield. XD Very interesting character indeed! Anyway, I really love the work on her wings. So intricate and beautiful. And yet you were able to make it pop without making it look out of place amidst the similarly intricate tribal details. Nice!

The sword may be big, but it's also full of holes, don't think it's that much of a shield material XD
The wing part, luckily she only has one, it was pretty damn hard to get it done properly as is, don't know how bad it would be to draw two of those XD plus, it was additionally difficult because of all the stuff behind that wing, like her hair and right arm. But then again, this whole art was pretty challenging, from the pose, through all her armments, ending with that bloody wing. But still, somehow this piece got on the frontpage in the "Undiscovered" section, which is how it got a lot of attention for a while ^^

Haha, I wanted a pose with her back exposed to show off the wing, but turned around only slightly enough to be able to show her face, cause I sure had fun with that part ^^
And it's always great to hear I pulled out all the dark potential of a character, that is a rather fitting nickname for this lass ;3

I got one hour of sleep at night and slept through the day instead. It's fine by me, I've always been curious as to what it would be like to be nocturnal. Beforehand, I read a bunch of horror stories around the internet as well. So I guess I planned on not sleeping. Funny thing is, I had this headache since April last year, and when I only got one hour of sleep, it somehow disappeared. So thanks! ^~^
