Description Count Dracula as portrayed by Sir Christopher Lee

""Good" people ... being persistently noble can become rather uninteresting. There is a dark side in all of us. And for us "bad" people, the bad side dominates. I think there is a great sadness in villains, and I have tried to put that across. We cannot stop ourselves doing what we are doing." - Christopher Lee

This is my humble tribute to one of the greatest actors I've ever seen onscreen. Sir Christopher Lee, who had passed away recently, is without a legend of the film industry, he starred in over 250 movies of all kinds of genres, be it horror (most notably Hammer's Dracula series), action (Bond or Star Wars to name a few), fantasy, comedy, drama, you name it, there was a film with Christopher Lee in it.
And it doesn't stop here, outside his normal acting, he did a fair share of voice acting as well, cause his voice was one of the most epic I've ever heard (as far as actors go, very few can compare), and believe it or not, he sang metal as well, symphonic metal to be precise, and released 4 albums.
I could drag this rant further, but maybe not right now, it really gets me sad knowing he's not among us anymore, at leats not in the flesh, cause his memory will last forever

As for the art itself, I was pondering for quite a while which of his epic roles should I choose for a tribute piece. His role as Dracula was epic and memorable, his role as Saruman was equally epic, his role as Scaramanga was also awesome, hell, at one point I even thought about Dr. Catheter from Gremlins 2, which was actually the first movie with Sir Lee I ever saw |D
But in the end, the dark and ominous vampire won. I really loved his clenched teeth expression and twisted hand gestures, hence the 'dramatic pointing" pose. It was really inspiring and I hope I did an at least decent job at it.

"Every actor has to make terrible films from time to time, but the trick is never to be terrible in them." - Christopher Lee

RIP Sir Christopher Lee

Ahhh I wanted to say something, but I just can't find the words. Mostly because it's a tribute, and I probably should mention something wise, but somehow I really dunno what to say ;w;

On the drawing itself though, it looks simple, but great, and I really like how you drew the pose and cape

Watch a few movies with Sir Lee and maybe you'll come up with something ; D

Hehe, and thanks, simplicity was the thing bakc then, and Drac didn't need any excessive details to be awesome, especially when played so well ^^

Many thanks, yes, he will be missed but will remain in our memory as one of the greatest actors.
And I'm still pretty tempted to do another one though, maybe Saruman |D

It's a possibility, but with my list of pending artwork, I don't know when that will ever happen.
