(no this is not steampunk)Idea behind it;
I like to imagine doctor whooves as Doctor who (as many others).
So I drew this drawing with the doctor and rose in the background.
The idea behind the drawing is that the doctor goes to this future with rose. Probably to solwe something. At the meantime they got to stay low. So I thought (hey, maybe the doctor made a work shop) but that he sadly started to miss derpy... So he found some stuff here and there, and put togheter this machine... But no matter what, derpy is derpy, and her love for muffins will always be there (and the whole making everything a mess, at times.... We still love you derpy XD)

the exreme detailed robot/android derpy (what is correct? robot, android or other?), you can look hour over hours, it never get boring, and you find everytime new details.

I love this pic! Incredible attention to detail. The hair and the whole design looks fantastic.
If I could find oneย flaw with this... ย probably light source. The whole room is dark and then derpybot is bright. I feel like it'd be awesome if she had some glowing parts (like the eyes and those liquid pipes) and theyย would give light for her. It would also make her seem more robot-like.

Yes I know the light sourse is odd... But it's because there is a whole inthe roof... who made it?

But it got way too messy, and I didn't want to give the background more fous since it aready was so detailed.
And it's also because to give derpy more focus. If I where to give light on the whole room, it would be too messy.
Too much going on.
And yes, I actully thought of adding more light. And I tried differente things, but I just didn't make it work ย as I wanted. oh well
was a good idea.
but yeah I do agree.
And the reason it takes so long, it's rendering... You know, first I put all the colors on there.
But what takes time is making everything smooth, and well... make it so "detailed"

By simply just drawing a lot ^u^
well I get this question a lot, and honestly... I'm not too sure.
I have just always looked up to other artist, and just tried so hard myself to learn.
So that's what I did, found out what I needed to know, and I just drew a lot.
Sure you can go to art school and all of that, but what I think (or what is the best way to learn for me) is to just draw a lot.
A little everyday, not much, but eventually you will in your own speed get better.
It's just my passion, and I decied to push it further ^u^
