OH MY GAWSH I LOVE HER SO MUCH IM GOING TO DIE <3

Just look at her. Oh my gosh she's beautiful. Sorry, I don't mean to sound stuck up or anything, but I'm really proud of her XD I drew her on paper and then colored her on SAI.

Anywho, this is Jade. I wrote a HUGE long Bio for her, so if you're bored go ahead and read it, but I won't be too offended if you don't.

Jade studies in the Everfree Forest for the Baltimare College of Science and Technology in an immersive program, studying the wildlife there. She knows a lot about plants which is what she mainly studies (wildlife) in the forest, although she tracks weather patterns as well. Since her specialty is plants, she can use herbs for remedies in a hurry and enjoys making tea out of herbs she finds although she is usually too busy to do that. She sketches plants and writes notes on them and fills a notebook before heading back to the college and submitting her findings for a grade. Enjoys baking but only when she has time, makes very good muffins. She wants to know everything she can about this wild forest and loves the program because she can spend a lot of time alone with nature. She plans to learn everything she can and then publish books on plants in the forest, what they're used for, how to prepare them, and what they look like.

Her dorm room at the college is filled with plants she's harvested and taken back to be with her, which has caused some problems with wildly out of control plants, but the college doesn't stop her because she's one of their best students. The janitors take care of her plants when she is gone. She believes in hospitality and always serves someone tea if they come to visit her.

She is a morning person and always gets up early, although she doesn't go to bed until late. She's often seen with droopy eyes because she's so tired. She's studying for a degree in wild plant care, and hopes to have a job with a scientific facility in Canterlot when she graduates.

Her mother disappeared when she was young and she hasn't had much of an interest in finding her. She grew up with her father who lives in Manehattan. He used to explore the forest as well and would always bring her plants from his trips. She didn't get to spend much time with him due to all of his adventures, but she spent lots of time with her grandfather. She was always delighted by her father's gifts and knew she wanted to explore with him some day. He retired early because the job was paying well, so her wish didn't come true, but she still enjoys researching without him and hopes to one day be as great as he was in his position.

She's not used to being around other ponies so she can be very judgemental and moody, only because she's not sure how to control her words with ponies she doesn't know very well. She hates group projects and tends to be controlling although she doesn't mean harm. She hates crowds and enjoys the silence of the forest. She's very curious and although her career will pay lots of bits, she cares more for being happy in what she does and doesn't really care about the money involved. She plans on giving extra cash she isn't using to charities or saving it for her future children.

How old are you?: I am just turning 19! I'm hoping I'll graduate before I'm 26. It takes a long time to get a degree in wildlife.

Best feature?: My stripes, of course! They match my Dad's. Apparently they come from a small portion of zebra blood I have in me.

Birthday?: April 23rd.

What one word best describes you?: Um... Dedicated!

Most prized posession?: The rocks that Grandpa left for me, and my dad's favorite plant. I keep it in my room.

First memory?: Seeing Dad leave to go explore on a mission from his workplace. I was so sad, I cried in Grandpa's hooves for hours. Then we went out for ice cream and I felt much better.

Favorite Subject?: Wild plantlife, duh! I do have an interest in geology and a little interest in weather, but not enough to hold a long conversation about it.

Least favorite subject?: Wild animals! Ugh! I hated that class. All we ever talked about was the nice ones, never the dangerous ones that I actually needed to know about. Most of the animals ate some plants, too, and caused them to go extinct. Just think of all the research lost because of them!

Hobbies?: Making tea. I had a tea set when I was younger and I would have tea parties with my Grandpa. Now that I know about herbs, I make my own tea. I don't have a lot of spare time, but when I do, I like making my own blends and serving them to my roomate. Of course, she's not as interested in it as I am, but I don't think she minds. And I love to bake, but that doesn't happen very often.

Favorite book?: That would be "A Foal's Guide to Mystical Trees". It was the first book I ever read about wild plants and I loved it! Of course, I'm much more advanced now and my current favorite is "Wild Herbs and Where to Find Them", but my all time favorite will always be the first one I read.

What annoys you the most?: Cowards. I come from a long line of adventurous and brave ponies, so when somepony is afraid to stand up to someone or do something to help another pony, it makes me mad. You should always be there for others. I also get really annoyed when ponies don't appreciate plants or claim that wild plants are 'scary'. They only think that because they don't understand it. Aside from that, I have some less important pet peeves, like ponies who eat with their mouths open and Cloudy Sands' snore.

What would be the perfect gift for you?: Anything well thought out. If I can tell you thought about me when getting it, then it's perfect! Of course, I might be a bit biased towards plants or books about plants, but I'm not really that picky.

The most beautiful thing you've ever seen?: On one of my expeditions into the Everfree forest, I stayed up to see the moon rise. As the stars came out, some insects in the forest lit up like tiny lights and flew all around! It was really beautiful and I wanted to stay in that moment forever.

Favorite time of day?: Morning! I love getting up really early. However, I am fond of the night and the afternoon is always nice.

Favorite kind of weather?: Overcast. It's a bit gloomy and makes you want to have a cup of tea, doesn't it? It reminds me of my hometown.

Favorite food?: Avacado and chickpea sandwiches. However, I do enjoy some rocky road ice cream!

Any pets?: I don't really have time for a pet right now. I'm hoping in the future maybe I'll be able to get a bird or something, but for now I'm very busy and I wouldn't be able to take care of it.

Sexual orientation?: Bi-sexual I suppose. If you love somepony, you love them. Who cares what gender they are?

Any bad habits?: I have this terrible habit of interrupting people. I'm trying to stop, really, I am.

Biggest fear?: Failing. I've worked much too hard to lose this career. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't graduate.

Ever been in love?: I don't know if it was love, but I went to my high school prom with this nerdy stallion who didn't have a date. I thought he was kind of cute, and he liked plants. It didn't really go anywhere though.

Favorite flower?: Pink lillies. It's not anything exotic, but the house I grew up in was always full of pink lilies. Grandpa told me that Grandma had loved them. I was sad I never got to meet her, but Grandpa said she would've been proud of me.

Favorite holiday?: Hearts and Hooves Day. Grandpa and I would always go out for dinner, he'd buy dessert, and then we'd run over to the store and grab the discount chocolate and eat it at home. I obviously don't do that anymore, but it was so much fun. We would both get all dressed up. Now I just buy chocolate and eat it, but there's nothing wrong with that, right?

Best thing that ever happened to you?: Getting accepted to BCST, of course! I've never been happier!

Worst thing that ever happened to you?: One of my plants grew rapidly overnight in the dorm room due to some experimental plant food I gave it... It was soooo embarassing! My dormmate and the janitors were so mad at me. It took forever to chop off all the huge vines.

Best friends?: My dad Rocky Leaf! I send him letters whenever I can. Other than him, I don't really have any friends. My roomate Cloudy Sands is okay with me, but she doesn't really like my plants and is more into weather, so we don't have much to talk about. I used to have a friend in high school named Mocha Cola. I wonder what happened to her.

How was life growing up?: Pretty normal. Dad was gone a lot so I lived with Grandpa Archie. He used to love digging around for special rocks and gems. He kept some of them and decorated his apartment with them. He taught me about all of them, and although it isn't my talent, I love the rocks too, and he left them for me when he passed away. He was always so nice, and we used to bake together all the time. Whenever Dad came home, all three of us would go out for dinner and do something fun together like see a movie or go to the park. It was fun!

Nicknames?: Well, Dad and Grandpa always called me Sprout. They called me it so much that sometimes I forgot my real name was Jade! Mom gave me the name Jade, but since I don't know her at all, I don't think I have to use my real name. It is kind of pretty though. You can call me either.

Favorite color?: Dark green. It's calming. ^^ Although I do like grays and browns as well.

What did you want to be growing up?: Many things. A waitress, a baker, a jeweler, or a florist. It wasn't until I got older that I became interested in my dad's career.

Scariest thing that ever happened to you?: I got chased by a manticore through the Everfree Forest! That was terrifying. Maybe if they taught us more about dangerous animals I wouldn't have been so scared. Oh well.

How did you get into your career?: Well, my freshman year of highschool we had to interview a parent about their career and what they did. I already knew everything about Grandpa's old job, and he was retired anyway, so I talked to my dad once he came home from an expedition. He told me all about the wilderness and showed me his sketches of the wildlife. I was totally enthralled by it all, and ever since then I've been studying hard so I can become an explorer as well.

If someone asked you to give them a random piece of advice, what would you say?: Never give up. Grandpa and Dad always said that to me whenever I felt like quitting anything. It's kept me going through some hard times. If they wanted something light-hearted, though, I'd say: 'Bake lots of muffins and eat them just because you can!'. It always made me feel better as a filly.

If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet?: My Grandma. Grandpa said she would've loved me a lot, and I'm sure I would've felt the same.

What is a common misconception about you?: That I think I'm better than everyone else. I don't think that at all. I'm just not good at talking to others, and I'm always trying to push myself to be better. I don't ever consider myself above other ponies. We're all here and we're all alive, so we all must be doing pretty good.

Favorite joke?: "Those who plants trees be-leaf in the future!"

What did you do on your 16th birthday?: Mocha Cola came over to my apartment and we ate ice cream and watched movies. It was a few months after Grandpa died, and Dad had gone back off to the forest on another expedition, so I didn't have anyone to hang out with. The next morning she left and I sat around the house and looked through old pictures. It was the first time I felt completely alone.
