Description
For this line, I changed the background to something more simple with some texture. The format of these presentations still feels unfinished for me, but I just want to focus on showcasing the designs for now.I made a couple of changes for creating my designs. I digitally lined my designs this time instead of using my traditional pens and pencils. My workflow was also better in Clip Studio when I used the symmetry ruler to line my work. I had to adjust my base model but the overall effect was worth it. The design is cleaner looking, more balanced and of course faster. I like digital work but I don't like to take too much away from my traditional approach so I remain coloring my work with a mix of mediums.
I designed the Beret with a feminine blouse, some form of pleated skirt, typical knee-length socks, a pair of Mary Janes and a shifting beret (hat). The Beret line is based off of both girl scouts and Japanese schoolgirl uniforms. Very feminine and sweet but made for scouting and survival. They are dedicated to developing skills to survive their surroundings and collecting badges/stickers for their personal guidebook. Their appearance may lend them to not be taken seriously and instead ridiculed, however their skills prove extremely useful and they strategize well in almost any situation.
In this set for versions 1-3, the hair is wavy, pulled back into low twintails with an asymmetrical set of bangs and sporting a sweet color-matched beret.
