Character development, ya know?
Based off Haruhi's background from this --> Haruhi Toyama

1. Haruhi is around 5 or 6, selling umbrellas to people on the street
2. Here she's 8/9ish and working as a thief for Daigo
3. Haruhi is 11 and attempts to steal from the Sakamotos, breaks a vase, alerts the guards, and is chased through the house until Tatsuma throws her into a closet (not knowing she's a thief)
4. I don't talk about this much in Haruhi's profile, but Tatsuma runs into Haruhi again a few weeks after she breaks into his house and she apologizes for hitting him on the head. Tatsuma admits he doesn't remember much about that night, so she keeps silent about her work with Daigo. So here he's just asserting that he wants to be friends with her, which surprises Haruhi (she has never had the chance to depend on anyone before)

I'm really bad at coming up with OC stories so please forgive me for the crappiness of this
