all I see is grass, cows, barns... and like.. a few trees here and there. I can draw a pretty good barbed wire fence from memory...
But drawing more city-like stuff has always been a challenge for me! must be because I never lived there XD
I really do think it helps to have seen things IRL. c: I never thought about that before but its so true!.....orrr...
maybe my brain just needs to
develop further before I can do stuff like this.
...reminds me when I was 5, and my foster mom was trying to teach me how to write my name in cursive, and though my artistic talent was obvious even at that age I. JUST. COULDN'T.
but my brother who was one year older than me could, even though he never drew a picture in his life! XD

Well, if you go to art school after you graduate you may have to move to a big city area like LA or New York, and you'll get to see all sorts of interesting city crap.
That's where most of the art world seems to be.
Although I kinda envy people who live in areas like yours.

But seeing new things and being adventurous really does help to improve an artist's "level design" abilities in spades.
And i guess the brain thing you said is kind of true too... kinda.
Speaking for myself, I think much differently (and clearly) now than when I was 18~22, for example.
