At the beginning of the story this thing did this thing to Gale and did a thing. Gale looked for the thing but the thing did more than just the thing he thought because the thing had an effect on other things.
And that's why all the zombies need to get Gale out of the picture.

You know how when you're a little kid you think the monsters are coming to get you of all people?
It's kinda like that, only for Gale it's actually true!
