NB: I'm well aware and disappointed because I noticed HUGE mistakes in the abs/belly too late and couldn't manage to correct it, never forget to mirror your picture BEFORE inking =__=Ethan my very first OC, so he keep a special place among my characters
Well, the lineart was also quite old now, and I realize I made him look quite older than some previous references of him.
He is actual guardian of the fire cristal. his family was killed when he was about 7yo. He was then raised by Wyll's mother.
He is around 18yo, he is a swordsman.
I like this new design
He never wears heavy stuff cause he wouldn't wield 2 swords easily, so he kept piece of armor strategically with his fighting style. his torso is protected by a thin refined griffon leather: light but resistant.The sword in the right (on his back) is longer and left handed ans used mostly for attacks, whereas the other one is right-handed and used for defense. on his right forearm is a magic buckler.
I tried to keep a design inspired by a lion. I hope it's not too obvious but still noticeable.
And the red-orange-yellow palette is back! 8D
Ogh and the metallic took me much moooore time to color, I hate that -_-

oh and for the chest: I first wanted to make a chain mail, but I was too lazy and it might be too heavy. So I thought about a simple shirt, but it's not resistant. then I thought I could do imagine it to be a special leather of any magical creature.
so this is it, a thin tanned griffon leather, I made it skintight to make it look kind of special (and obviously sexier)
that's all the story of his chest thing xD
In his previous design he doesn't even have a shirt to cover his chest in the first place X) but it's definitely too reckless in a battle lol

I needed a random name that wasn't to much common and Icarus ( Icar spelled on my language ) was in my head so I wanted something similar to that

J'aime beaucoup son design! Il est classe. Par contre, j'espère qu'il va pas trop souvent dans des régions trop froides. Avec le ventre à l'air, il attraperait vite froid.

Et en fait il n'a pas besoin de se couvrir beaucoup plus car malgré ses piètre capacités magiques, il est quand même capable de s'immoler de flammes (en tout cas de se recouvrir d'une discrète couche pour réguler sa température 
Eh! l'avantage des abdos à l'air, c'est que c pas dur à colorier! C'est fou ce que ça me prend comme temps de colorier les pièces d'armures métallques! faut que j'améliore la technique j'imagine

C'est supra dur aux crayons de couleur parce que du coup avec le granité du crayon, ça fait pas bien poli... en plus je dois mettre une bonne tonne de gris et de noir et faut essayer de placer ces foutu contrastes >_<" la quintescence du relou
Je crois que d'ici peu quand je commencerai mon internat et que j'aurais du fric, j'investirai enfin pour une tablette graphique.

C'est sûr que les crayons, c'est pas l'idéal pour ce genre de rendu, à moins qu'ils marquent vraiment fort. Le mieux, ce serait d'utiliser des feutres, mais très personnellement, je trouve pas que les deux se marient très bien. Il reste encore l'aquarelle sinon. Pour le coup, avec des crayons, c'est un duo qui marche.
La tablette graphique, ça change la vie. llD Il m'a fallu un peu de temps pour m'y faire (et aussi pouvoir en acheter une vraiment bonne), mais maintenant, je saurais plus faire sans! X3

c'est pas faux ça, j'utilisais déjà l'aquarelle avant avec les crayons, faudra que je vois ce que ça donne pour le rendu métalisé, ça peut le faire! merci du tuyau
