Tormoood rocks, And He is the best fire Archmage!! And Intelligent System were crazy to not let him playable most of FE10 playtime! I hate them for that! >_<I like drawing fanarts cause I don't have to think too much about clothes design, I have only to copy BUT this time there were no reference of his Archmage outfit! So I was inspired by Bastian outfit, and Tormod in-game and sage design.
The Devoted is Ike's mecenaries normal battle theme (part3 of FE10). I like this battle theme! and Tormod is devoted to protect all laguz anyway.
Please, I'm already aware that the light interaction between the flame bg and the character isn't good/realistic; so he is a bit off the background. But I don't care, it was just to difficult with my actual pencil skill to do such a thing! so consider the background... like a mere background -.-"
I tried a light-critical-hit-magic-spell effect around his book and hand!
For those who know my original characters: I know his head looks like my Yohann ^^" I couldn't help lol
I took at least 8h+ I think.. what a pain for a fanart =__=

Ensuite, j'ai l'impression que tes formes sont plus cernées que d'habitude. Tu as changé quelque choz à l'encrage ? Ca rends vraiment très bien ! La pose est super dynamique, beau mouvement de la cape (même Edna Mode le dirait !) et vêtements très détaillés, as usual ! Je trouve d'ailleurs que les vêtements rendent bokou mieux avec cet encrage-ci ! Et c'est là que tu vas me dire que tu n'as rien changé à ton encrage... 
Pour commenter ton précédent dessin, je ne dirais qu'une choz : quand on a ta technique aux crayons de couleur, on laisse tomber le digital gars ! Tes colos sont de plus en plus surprenantes ! <3

Hmmm... j'ai rien changé à mon encrage si ce n'est l'encrage des yeux que j'ai poffiné avec photoshop parce que sérieux... avoir un feutre de 0.7mm bah c'est cool pour les habits, mais alors pour les petits détails par ci par là (sur le visage comme sur les habits), c'est carrément un feutre obèse.
Donc en résumé j'ai pas changé grand chose ^^" peut-être que c'est juste le choix des couleurs et l'utilisation du noir abusif qui rend l'ensemble plus harmonieux? j'en sais trop rien.
De toute façon j'ai tendance à abandonner le digital parce que sérieusement, c'est trop long et ça m'explose les yeux! XD je continue à m'entraîner un peu mais sans conviction MDR

I'm more concerned with stats that cuteness ... except in the case of Ilyana, who I can't NOT use because she's adorable.

Matter of stat: my Tormod maxed out his stats 2 times in both games (in the radiant dawn, he managed to max ALL stats and is able to fight all alone the whole final part (except the final boss ) ) He finally got better stats than Soren! (except his Magic he won't be able to catch up)
But I understand many people won't use him cause of his low availability in the second game! that's why I said it's a shame...
Oh and I also used Ilyana, she is a plasmatic bomb against dragons xD

I love the shading and coloring the fire background = win.
I like how you shaded him different from the background, that way we can focus on him and all his glory. ^^
Wow 8+ hours so is a lot of time on a picture.
I could never have that much dedication to any of my pictures, sure wish I did though.

Well, one hour here and there ... I also spent way too much time gathering details for his outfit (and in the end isn't exactly th same than in-game archmage)..
I begin to get used to this kind of fire background, but I still have to try to find how I could put the different shape so it looks nice (well, I try at least). And there are also many colors I had to mix together this time for the character himself since I didn't have the base color in pencils. -.-'

That is what I try to do in my pictures do, gather information on how light hits and the clothing and fabric or if doing fan art looking at refs or other people's drawings of them to get their design down. It is really cool the type of effects you can achieve when mixing colors together, your picture still looks awesome even without base colors.
