That is not fog, that is smoke. The wildfires in BC are raging. It was so smokey you could not see much at all. It was actually quite interesting but also eerie, it makes you feel like you are in "the mist"
It was quite a different setting to shoot in. I was not sure what my settings should be in this type of light/smoke. I played around with it a lot, and this is the one I liked the most from the forty different ones I took of this particular place.
This was taken at Salmon Arm, BC. On the wharf over looking the Shuswap Lake

It is very sad that the haze is smoke not mist. There seem to have been extreme events all over the place this year.
The composition reminded me of Chinese art a bit - simple yet thought-provoking.

Yes. I had mixed feelings.. Half of me thought it was very cool and the other part felt very sad.
I'm hoping that some extreme events stay away over the winter, but I highly doubt it! We will probably get some crazy snowfall or something, lol.

No, I heard that it made it all the way to some of Ontario. That's crazy, is it really bad or just a bit?
I know while I was on holidays in Calgary we hit 9 out of 10 on the index for air quality.

It made it really hard to see the sites on our vacation because everything was so covered in thick smoke.
