Description
...This is like the fifth pony I've doodled in the past 24 hours.
... I'm in a mood.
Quick doodle, probably took an hour.
All on one layer using the pencil tool on Painter.

Ooooh boy. I hope you don't mind that I'm critiquing these, because they seem to be for fun, but I really admire your style so I only want to see you improve!
I think you need to get a model to do this pose for you, or try to find a few reference views of runners, because it looks like her ankles are broken. No doubt you know that feet don't bend that way in that position, and her left thigh looks stunted.
Keep up the good work Frenzied. Your colour choices and style of colouring are really impeccable, but reference are needed with dynamic poses like this.

Oh no no, I don't mind at all! Years in art classes = years of critiques! c:
As for the pose, I did try to reference it myself in the mirror; perhaps my own body is an awkward reference, since I have a lot of double-joints and tend to pose in ways that make my arms and legs look broken (just ask the photographer who let me model for a photoshoot one time ... broken legs and ankles EVERYWHERE)!! I have photographic evidence ... it ain't pretty!! X'3
Since this was really just a doodle, I wasn't very serious about anatomy/getting things to look just right; otherwise I definitely would've used a more serious reference (a sports screencap or whatnot). Don't you worry!! Also, I was going for foreshortening on the left thigh; which apparently isn't translating very well with my shading!!
Doing doodles like this that are more cartoony and less serious (in terms of realistic anatomy and whatnot) are very relaxing and honestly something I *need* to do every now and then. I'm such a perfectionist that, oftentimes, I'm way too hard on myself when it comes to my art. Just ask PointCaliber up there! I've been working on commissions for him for months now, beating myself up about the quality!! This was meant to be rough and random, but I do apologize for the off-putting anatomy ... >< When I revisit Rainbow Dash in a serious way, I'll definitely use a ref!
Thank you so much for this comment and for expressing your concerns about my growth as an artist; it really means a lot to have someone looking out for me like this!!

Oh man, double joints! Part of me wants to see those pictures, part of me knows I will be horrified
I understand the need to do some silly stuff every once in a while, and being hard on yourself. I see so many people do these really loose drawings, and I always thing they're so beautiful, but then when I try to do it myself, I hate it XD It doesn't seem the same, or I know how little effort I put in it and can see that, but I'm getting better.
You've wormed your way into my heart, girly! I don't think I'll be able to stop caring for you and wanting to see your future growth!

Much awesome! Love the colors... the sooo many.. yes colors.
Dunno if you like constructive criticism but actually when you're running your opposite arm throws with your leg. So if you're stepping out on a right leg then your left arm pulls forward.
Anyways, this is awesome!

Yayayayayay!! The colors were the best part ... Very Rainbow Dash appropriate!! c:
I LOVE constructive criticism and I honestly did expect a flood of it on this picture ... mostly because it's very doodly and wasn't thought-out at all ...! So naturally it's going to have a lot of issues. BUT, thank you for your comment (it was something I thought of after I posted this picture!), because now I have another internal reference!! c:
I'm glad you like the picture!

Scratch what I said earlier about her looking more tomboy, this is spot on. Gotta go fast!
Farout you sure as hell got the motion in the muscles right, bet it would of been mind imploding annoying to do xD then trying to line them up to how they the match up to the pivot of the feet and hands, speaking of which those are some nice hands and knees can't possibly imagine the difficultly of trying to get those right x.x Do moar
