This was one of the many reasons why Star Fox Command had to be the worst game in the series!
I mean Fox "fires" Krystal solely because he doesn't want her to get hurt? Look of course he cares about his fellow comrades, but yet it's hypocritical because he doesn't do the same with the other Team Star Fox Members who are also put in just as much danger by participating in the Arwing battles, and he's known them for longer than Krystal. Plus, joining Team Star Fox was her decision and she obviously knew what she was going into when she joined in the first place, and Assault established that Fox was confident of Krystal's capability as a member of the Cornerian military! Him just deciding to make her leave because he doesn't want her put in danger is so out of place!
The rest of the game really seems to mistreat Krystal so much, after the way they were in Assault. Though Adventure kinda made Crystal's appearances seriously limited, at least they didn't ruin her character like Command did!
And Krystal is not the only character ruined by Command. I hate what it did with Falco, Pigma, and Dash too, in each of the story paths! This is why it's the worst Star Fox game by far!

When you erase your past, your erase yourself... Then it always just depends....
They say many people in life really need a true test of fortitude in order to suceed. And a fitting test it is. But when you lose yourself. You alter t your darker side, erasing yourself, erasing the people you loved or treasured, sliding away, into the unknown, to be gone and forgotten, this is when the truest test of fortitude is on effect.Β
Many people do not pass this test. But the ones who do, those are to be reckogned, respected, or feared, as they have one of the strongest characters, willpower and fortitude. What of the previous three would it be for anyone individually, that depends on their intentions.

She wouldn't give Fox the chance. The instant she recognises him, she'll attack him. And if Fox does all that, she'd just laugh manically (Kursed is basically insane remember) and reject his apology.

TheyΒ start abusing her, especially Panther.
At a certain point her mind snapped.
Krystal died that day...
And out of that mental wreckage, Kursed was born.

This reminds me of the poem Warning. because there was a line in it that went, "When i go mad, I shall start to wear purple". Something like that... Maybe this is a sign of Krystal going insane... who knows...
