I've been on this "childhood" kick for some reason, so I drew something inspired by it.

.... that comment really doesn't make sense with this somewhat provocative picture above it. So allow me to explain.

The other day, I was eating lunch, and we were talking about great video game music. So, I thought, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, because that was the first game which had music that really stuck with me (that I liked).

So I piped up about this one song I loved, the "City Escape" level theme, and sung a little of it for everyone.

It dredged up all these memories of playing Sonic in middle school, and the stories my sister and I would make up involving the characters.

My sister is the person I drew this picture for, I think. She'd appreciate it.

I love Rouge the Bat. She was this independent, awesome chick who knew how to kick butt as well as be charming and sassy (as well as a little bit corny, but, hey, it's Sonic).

I wanted to try and make her as realistic as possible.

That didn't work, so I kind of stylized it a little bit, and it's still more ... "realistic" than the Sonic style, which I guess means it accomplishes my original goal.

I might post an even MORE finished version at some point...

I haven't drawn them since I was like thirteen...
