I drew this on my iPad and finished it in Photoshop. So far I like this system.

Yep, she Is most certainly awesome! More awesome than many ponies I've ever seen.
You know what isn't awesome? Toei HAD designed this character in the Escape from Catrina style (as well as Glory), so we (or at least I) know what she could have looked like in that cartoon; but they didn't include her! They did include her for one commercial, as far as I know.
Also, they had a different design of Megan, which looks much younger than Rescue at Midnight castle, not to mention more Anime-like.

lol! i love firefly and i don't think this does her justice. i sort of ended up fusing the new FiM style and the old style. one day i'll do a proper Firefly!

Well, I have her envisioned just a little different as a rebooted character. For one I've recently taken to drawing her in a leather jacket, like AJ having a stetson now. Not telling you that your revision has to match mine, but feel free to have a look through my gallery for inspiration!
BTW, I play Firefly on Secondlife in MLP SIMs. My gestures are sound bites of Firefly in the G1 Pilot. My favorite ones that I play maybe a little too much: "Danger is my Life!" and "My names Firefly. What's your's?" X)

For this one I used Sketchbook Express. I've since moved to Procreate though. It's a decent substitute for having a drawing tablet!
