Its funny, cause when I think of good story I had the chance to come across when I was younger, I often think about game like chrono trigger and final fantasy 3. I find the simple graphic had the power to create really strong atmosphere and context with a minimum of elements, a little like a good book. In a sense, that kind of image was already there in my head as I was thinking about Lucca, its funny how pixel can get so rich. I hope you guys like it !If you get any tips or advice on whatever catch your eye, plz don't hesitate to comment, you are very welcome. I still got a lot to learn and experiment on photoshop.

This is AMAZING! I almost thought it was photo manipulated! This is seriously an astounding piece of art, well balanced, unified through space and it's negative, and creates a nice path that your eyes consistently follow, rarely am I able to look at an image and have it carry me through it like a river.
I find it annoying often to be thwarted by a singular point of interest on any one image, because it becomes hard to see past it, and I become stuck on that portion alone.
Lucca herself is the point of interest, but because of her vibrance and body position, she moves your eyes to the background and makes you aware of the two Apes following her. The unity of palettes between the foreground and background contrast exceptionally well, and her autumn colored clothing blend gracefully with the spotty grass forest she ventures through.
I find the subtle inclusions of a skull detailed onto her helmet, and skirt ruffling to be highly creative, as I can see the character herself adding some sort of badass yet feminine and sexy accompaniment to her attire. At the same time though, her expression makes her look vulnerable but daring, to venture into the forest/jungle all by her lonesome. Still, she hauls her mallet behind her, readying for the opponents that will soon attack.
I can't say it enough, this piece is astounding!

hmm as awesome as the pic is,i think the clothing is what caught my eye the most.did you really intend for it to look so loose and hanging?

I wanted it to look really light, that was my main concern, keeping in mind that she move a lot and must be sweating like crazy, even more so she is playing with fire all day. But I think I will go back on it a little, it's a little too much hanging now that you mention it. Thanks for the observation

Umm this is pretty good.. But the way her lips are done are just not right imho. She looks like she's got more of a "buck teeth" kind of look with the way her lips are done there. I'm not sure if that's what you intended.. But I'm just giving you my two cents worth of what I think..

I'm really liking what I see here. The futuristic looking hammer is a nice touch, and the helmet is very close to the way I envision it.
One problem is that her calves are much too thick, not unlike Toriyama's original drawings, but that isn't consistent with the rest of this picture.

This is a really fantastic interpretation! I love that the stock photo inspired a more modern look for Lucca's tunic/clothing. Also, all the little details, like the skull on her helmet, the wired hammer, ect... It's all really nice. This is steller work! ^_^
