Description As promised, here is the 3rd part of the tutorial! I procrastinated about it a bit longer than I should have...but...well now it's here.

Having toruble uploading brushsets to DA...but once I wrestle DA into submission, they will be there for you guys to DL. You can just as easily make these brushes yourselves, though! I made them simple for a reason! Proof you don't need to Download or Search for brushes to get useful ones.

Hope it's helpful. Cheers.

I wish I could get the ones I used to upload...but sometimes DA (or my ISP?) hate me. Never lets me do it. Maybe now that DA has updated a little, I should try again.. Hmm.

Very fun tut. I see so many ways going about digital painting. Your way seems to work.

This is only one of many, many methods... There is no real "Right" or "wrong" way to do them, just waht works for you! I hope it does help though! Also, sorry for the long response time! x.x

Wow! If I wasn't so tired, I would attempt to try a speedpaint now, lol. Just wondering, how long does it take you to do an actual speedpaint? Also do you use references? How did you do the light?

Keep up the very good work!

Kind of a late response...sorry!

Speedpaints can be however long you want them to be. 1-2 hour speedpaints are great for warm-ups, especially if you're struggling with a piece of artwork and can't get past something or can't think of anything to paint. I used to do them more often..and I probably should get back into it.

This tutorial took me several days because I had to pay attention to what I was doing so I could explain it. LOL Typically, I can do something like this in about 4 hours if I'm using custom brushes...but it depends on the technique (and there are several).

References: I always have several references floating all over the place (books, sketches from my own sketchbook, pictures of nature, etc). Usually, they are just for inspiration...google is great for that. Many people like to paste pieces of photographs and textures on their paintings to use an underpainting -- and you can do that, too..I just typically don't (not opposed, I guess it never occurs to me at the time).

Lighting: Lighting is a combination of observation, practice, and trial and error. Unfortunately, I can't really offer any tips for how to do proper lighting because I personally am not all that good at it either. Usually, I try to determine where I want my focus to be and decide what would cast shadows where.
