Description
The Gaim are the predilect bug race in the Babylon 5 Universe. Their ground forces are unparalleled in the Galaxy...but their Defense Fleet is a hodgepodge of various ship classes from a variety of sources, at least until the time of Crusade. Just like the Dilgar versus the Tal'darim, I think putting the Gaim against the Protoss makes sense as the Protoss are familiar with insectoid races and the Gaim are familiar with plasma weapons. (See the Great Conquest March and how that ended up for the Descari!)

Unlike the Zerg, the Gaim are for the most part peaceful, but any incursion into N'chak'fah will end in conflict unless the incursors explain their purpose in the system. These Khalai Carriers were in search of the wretched Queen of Blades after the Fall of Aiur. Unwilling to join the rest of the refugees in Shakuras, they have encountered this previously unexplored region of space...and in their lust for vengeance declared the Gaim to be one more of the several Zerg Broods in existence. Gaim Ships are extremely modified internally and externally so it is not weird to think they are "infested".

The N'chak'fah Defense Fleet is one of the strongest fleets in League Space, this is not a battle the rogue Khalai would want to start if they knew more about this unknown faction.

I recently acquired Showdowns 6, a Babylon 5 Wars supplement that talks about the League Wars, a conflict that precedes the Second Shadow War. This book talks in detail about the early Gaim Fleet and their conflict with the Descari. (Also Balosians, Brakiri and Drazi but that's for another day) This gave me inspiration for some crossover art! The ships used by the Gaim in Babylon 5 Wars are usually freighters and stuff which I find fairly unique. That may not sound impressive but the Gaim fleets are a fairly deadly force. (Albeit limited in numbers compared to the major powers)

I also got some miniatures which make for great reference material for my next drawings! Specially the ones that do not have anything on the internet, haha.
