When it’s flame burns brightly, it is happy; however, when burning intensely, it is enraged or trying to scare off predators. Despite being the most popular Kanto starter, they require a mature-minded trainer, and thus are given out very carefully."

WILD

-Ability: Blaze / Sheer Force – Solar Power (HA)
"Brash and aggressive, but fiercely loyal, this Charmander love hot lava pools to play in or springs. Their size and composure are twice that of their purebred counterpart, and they are not afraid of fighting pokemon bigger than themselves."

RAPTOR
-Type: Fire
-Ability: Speed Boost / Flash Fire – Drought (HA)
"A recently revived ancient variant, these creatures are under strict observation by officials and even have a “catch season” in order to control how many can obtain one. This Charmander are fast and athletic, able to run for miles at a time at speeds of 30 mph. When they are excited, their tail feathers, which are not actual flames, will burn bright and beautifully."

FIREWORK

-Ability: Blaze / Rock Head – Early Bird (HA)
"A lithe variant with a noticeably larger and thicker skull, this creature is known for bashing into things similar to that of Bagon. They love to flap their little arms and dream of flying, but for the time being, their “wings” are sharp enough to inflict harmful damage to predators if they need to."

MYTHICAL
-Type: Dragon
-Ability: Blaze / Shed Skin – Marvel Scale (HA)
"Rare and beautiful, Mythical Charmander are extremely docile but shy, and are not commonly seen in the wild. Their beautiful blue scales sparkle and glisten when their flames are bright and large against them, and can provide camouflage against predators in the savage mountain peaks of the wild. They are the first pure Dragon variant of the species, and thus are a highly sought after pokemon."

MAGMA
-Type: Fire/Dragon
-Ability: Tough Claws / Huge Power – Intimidate (HA)
"Assertive and cocky, they love to fight and bite, trying to show they are stronger than their body size leads to. They naturally emit blue flames that, similar to the Mythical line, burn fierce and bright like their personalities. Their darker scales are in part of being around large magma filled pits and dark, daunting caves."

BLIND
-Type: Fire/Water
-Ability: Run Away / Water Absorb – Storm Drain (HA)
"Born completely blind, they have amazing abilities to sustain life in a completely dark and dangerous environment. Their external gills help them sense heat sources or predators in the water. Very shy and quick to flee, they are the rarest and hardest variant to get ahold of in the wild, for their delicate bodies can disappear from sight thanks to a unique oil secreted from their skin and scales as a defense mechanism."

CONTEST

"Derpy and adorable, this Charmander variant has been genetically altered to appeal crowds in shows and breeding competitions. They are the first variant to be able to be born with many different sub-morphs and color variations. Despite all this, they are not yet known for being the best in battle, but it is still being studied on."

PYGMY
-Type: Fire
Ability: Blaze / Cute Charm – Kindle* (HA)
"A recently created variant, they have gone through trying times due to mills and neglect, but have finally gotten back on track of being properly monitored and loved. Tiny and affectionate, this Charmander was discovered as an “accidental variant” that was further dived into. They have been bred to have positive mannerisms even into their mid and final evolutions, as well as bred to have small flames to minimize any damage to young children."

*Kindle: Upon being hit by a Fire move, randomly boosts Defense or Special Defense by one level, and in turn doesn't receive damage from the attack.

I tried /SHOT XD;;;;

I've always wanted to try making variations of my own after seeing so many inspirational pics online of other peoples' variants. But I also know that when I start, I will not stop at just the variation looks; I will be making individual headcanon posts cuz I love diving deep into this kind of stuff. Starting with Charmander was a great choice because it's actually not my favorite pokemon. In fact, it's my least favorite kanto starter of the trio. I purposefully did this so that I could make myself find information about this pokemon and figure out what I wanted to put in for this pokemon. This is completely fan-made and I have full intentions of posting my sources on each variation so that you all can see where my line of imagination came from.
