Charmander: "Derpy and adorable, this Charmander variant has been genetically altered to appeal crowds in shows and breeding competitions. They are the first variant to be able to be born with many different sub-morphs and color variations. Despite all this, they are not yet known for being the best in battle, but it is still being studied on."

Charmeleon: "As they age, these Charmeleon develop engorged tails that store excess fat for them, as well as their single stripped backsides turning into unique markings that almost always never look the same when placed side by side with another Contest line. Often times, they can be seen with their tongues hanging out of their mouths, which they do in order to taste the humidity of the air."

Charizard: "Brightly colored and gentle majestic giants, these variants of Charizard have a curious intellects that is greatly sought after in many breeders around the world. They have the unique ability of coating their entire tail in a large flame that will cause their wings to give off a beautiful iridescent shine to them."

Nicknamed “the true Salamander” of the Charmander variants, this creature has recently had a surge of popularity amongst families, breeders, and contest trainers after breeders discovered a branch of mutations that caused the Charmander species to have different body structures and different color variations. They’re smoother, sweeter, and more appealing in shows and contests. Even as Charmeleon they have great temperaments that make them especially affectionate as Charizard.

Speaking of which, as a Charizard, they are absolutely mesmerizing, with vividly deep wings that give a reflective “shine” when rays of light hits the tissue membrane. The first time this was broadcasted on contest channels left the world stunned speechless, and soon people were trying to find these babies to breed and have their own. They are long like a Mythical, sleek scaled like a Blind, affectionate like a Pygmy or Common, but have the color diversity that has breeders trying to discover how far they can reach with them.

However, despite having wings and the ability to fly, this variant has been reported to be a pure Fire typing, not advancing like the Common line into a Fire/Flying. Not to mention that their skin is very sensitive to sudden and rapid temperature changes, and can be prone to sunburns, ironically enough. And because some people are greedy for money, sadly this line of the species can be found breeding in Pokemills, and those little ones end up not living a long time due to the neglect and stress on their bodies.

The Contest line are able to breathe fire, though some have noted that they tend to be not as hot as most other variants of the species. However, it can still leave a nasty burn if they grow angry enough. This variant, much like the Blind, have a love for water, and tend to flourish in ponds or lakesides, rather than rocky mountains or hot lava pools. It provides extra enrichment for them if a family of folks plays with them in their own artificial pool, however, chlorine seems to sting at their scales if they swim in it for too long, and thus are cautioned to water them down with a hose soon afterwards of getting out.

Strangely enough, this was one of the harder variants to come up with a headcanon for, let alone a final detailed form. But I'm proud and genuinely enjoy how the color scheme came out. I may even go the extra step and make a little sheet of the 35 official variant looks to this line OuO What do you guys think? ;u;
