Description Blind Line Variant
Type: Fire/Water
Ability: Run Away / Water Absorb - Storm Drain
Overall Compatibility?  Yellow

Charmander:
"Born completely blind, they have amazing abilities to sustain life in a completely dark and dangerous environment. Their external gills help them sense heat sources or predators in the water. Very shy and quick to flee, they are the rarest and hardest variant to get ahold of in the wild, for their delicate bodies can disappear from sight thanks to a unique oil secreted from their skin and scales as a defense mechanism."

Charmeleon: "With their newly extended gills, Charmeleon can detect vibrations up to half a mile away in water. Their gill vents, which initially lied on their necks, strangely move down towards their sides, able to close to prevent toxins from entering their body easily."

Charizard: "These sleek and skittish Charizards are nothing like their other variant cousins, as they are quick to hide before they ever want to approach with a fight. They are categorized as "The Hidden Jewel" due to their difficulty to capture. However, those who are raised and tamed by loyal and loving trainers are sweet creatures that will defend against anything that tries to harm their masters."

The name says it all. This creature is completely blind by sight and cannot see anything beyond dark blurred colors or just nothing at all. These variants are very beautiful yet timid for where they are located, which is deep in the mouths or cores of mountains, caves/caverns, volcanoes, spring pools, and grottos. This line is the rarest and least reported on variant in the species collection. Thus, what has been collected is few and far inbetween, leading many to be eager to find more results of such a unique variant of the Charizard species.

What researchers have managed to gather from them from the few tests and selected captures of this pokemon, is that they are both a Fire and Water type pokemon, capable of swimming in both the hottest pits of lava, yet the coolest pools of water in a cave. Their flames - a strange but captivating light green, thanks to the abnormally high levels of Zinc produced in their bodies - are actually quite hard to witness alit, given how much time they spend below the water/lava surface, making it even harder to find in dark trenches within caves. Those that live in lava pits are hard to see due to the brightness of said lava, which provides extra coverage for them from predators.

They are extremely timid and are very prone to rushing off the moment they sense danger. Yet, when caught and tamed the few times it has been, it’s incredibly docile and comforted by close contact. However, people need to know that this creature had very sensitive skin, and should wash their hands and wet them down prior to holding. Rough surfaces or handling can harm their skin and internal organs, and psychologically scare them into not wanting to being held or touched by people. When in battle, it is said this variant subconsciously produces higher levels of oils to protect their bodies from extreme damage.

Researchers are still kinda unsure as to how they are able to bounce from such extreme heats and cold temperatures of lava pits and water, but one thing recently discovered with this variant is that they - much like the reflective scales of the Mythical variant - are able to blend in easier to their surroundings, and when they are in water, their tail flames will extinguish so that they don’t attract predators. In the dark depths of caves, their flames are an eerie blue-green hue that, should embers of it fall onto the ground, will continue to glow for up to a few minutes before fading away into nothing.

For details will hopefully be released about this beautiful and mysterious creatures, but for the time being, they will continue to be referred as the true "Hidden Jewel" variant of the species.
I could spend all day talking about how I would go about with this variant; it's just such a cool concept! I love how this turned out! >w<

Also, this post marks the start of the rocky postings on Eclipse, so please bear with me if I am super wonky again with my text adjusting n what not. I hate this update so fucking much...

This concept is not originally mine! I got my inspiration solely from this:
