There was a book series I really liked as a kid where dragons all had names beginning with G, and that's where my mind immediately leapt to upon seeing this.

It was the Last Dragon Chronicles by Chris D'Lacey.
It started as a cute story about squirrels and clay dragons implied to secretly be alive and it kind of. Uh. Escalated a lot by book 3 and continued said escalation at breakneck pace through to the end.

Hehe, yep. You made him so cute, and I love how that little blaze turned out.
I think you'll like how he is in the story. He's very soft-spoken, and even more gentle than Demi (somehow >_<).
