Before I insult my failed background creativity, I just need to say something.
How does Mew breathe if it has no seeable nostrils?
Yes, I know, fail background (yet again). My creativity levels are going dangerously low...

Yeah I do like your shading... Helpful tip = Don't compare you work to others. XD
Trust me, I used to do it all the time and well... you just can't you don't have the history of those people so they may have years more practice over you XD Compare your work to either... the real thing if you can or... Compare it to official work if you have to or your own if possible and see how it can be made better... Using other artists you'll always find someone better with different skills which makes you thing "I'm bad". That said, I honestly think this is pretty good shading I like it!
