The first class was going pretty smoothly, and Wisteria found that she was actually enjoying herself. There were definitely still too many Wyngrew for her liking, and there were some who were being quite loud, but the rest was pretty nice. The earth students had all been given a few crunchy claws before splitting up to find some fire students. Wisty had paired with a nice quad named Dracora, and she was soon able to start after the ground was warmed a little. Calypso happily just dug a hole and dropped a claw in, but Wisty very quickly got the hang of the first lesson. Earth magic affinity ran in her family, and it just felt so easy and natural, like it was a part of her. Her parents were very skilled in earth magic, and she remembered how they’d always have a big supply of crunchy claws to snack on. The fluffy purple gro was feeling pretty optimistic, and was excited for what the future weeks had in store.

I’m actually pretty happy with this, I think I finally found a way to draw trees that I like. I like how Wisty’s pose came out, though the paw holding the crunchy claws is still a little wonky.
