Description             A girl stands at her locker in dirty clothing, it's the standard school uniform. She had spent the last night in the entrance of her church. Her hair is braided back, long golden brown, down her back, a little messy. People are staying away from her but many whisper about what had happened the evening before. It was a major fire that put twenty people out of their homes, she being one of them.
Her short plaid skirt swishes as she walks. The midnight blue button down shirt is the only clean thing she wears, the shirt is conservative thankfully. She regrets the short skirt she wore the day before so that she could go out with friends, but she's glad she brought along the school coat as it served for a pillow the night before, even though she hadn't truly slept. Her parents, she knows, are laying in the hospital at the moment, and she was going to sleep in the chair that night as they would have an actual room that night.
Her eyes are bright blue behind silver framed glasses. They are rectangular with soft corners, and have two bars on each side, allowing her to look through the sides a little better then other glasses of that style. She gets the books she needs from her locker trying to bend down in a way that doesn't show everyone her underwear. She's happy that her backpack and books were left in there at the school the night before as she gets the last thing in place, and starts out the door of the school on the way to the hospital where her parents lay. The whitewashed brick walls seem to mock that they're clean, and she's not.
Her hand hits the metal var as an announcement comes over the speakers, "Kantami Kintishigomi please report to the office."
Kantami drops her hand, "Oh, what now?" she mutters going back the way she had come. She looks upon the floor as it reminded her not of her dirtiness as the pristine clean walls are. She enters the carpeted office, and looks up going to the secretary, "You wanted me?"
"Your grandfather is here to pick you up," she says pointing over to a male in a striped tuxedo and matching pants. His shirt is white and open at the top. His skin is tan and dark. He wears glasses that are tinted, the transition lenses. He had walked around outside for a little while before entering the school.
He takes his glasses off to look at the girl. His eyes, a bright blue, matching her and her father's eyes. His hair a warm brown red color and his face crinkled with age. Two men sit beside him, one on either side. One man is in all black and the other in all white. Both men have shades, hiding their eyes, each pair is framed with the color that they are wearing.
The male in white shifts exactly when the girl takes a step back. She didn't know this man who claimed he is her grandfather, or if he is really her Grandfather. She knows this not to be her mother's father, and she's never seen the grandfather on her father's side of the family. This male didn't seem exactly safe either.
He has his cane in his hand now, it had been sitting beside the chair as he had sat down. The handle on the cane is a dragon holding an orb, which seems to be a swirl of colors as it shines in the light. "Ready to go Kantami?" he asks gently
Kantami thinks over what's going on, the receptionist had left, and the office is empty. She drops her heavy school bag and runs toward the door and out the building. She slips away from the black and white figures around the area, through yards and trees, and along the streets she runs. As she approaches the hospital she has yet to really see that a male in black, and another in white are following her. She gets caught by her coat in some trees. She quickly slips out of it, leaving it where it is, hagging from the branch. The man in white grabs it and continues running after her. The branch it was on breaks in the process. Kantami runs into the sanitary white walled hospital. She gets to the room she heard they had transferred to earlier that morning when she had inquired just before school, and skids in. The two men stand on either side of the door like they're protecting what's inside.
On the bed closest to the window lays her father, awake and watching television. His breathing is a little raspy. Her mother lay closest to her sleeping in an over medicated state due to the pain she's in. Burns cover most of their bodies, but their faces and head are barely touched.
Her father looks at her, "Kantami?" his voice is raspy.
"Yeah dad. It's me." She says walking over. Before she can say anything further her father interrupts her.
"Has your grandfather come to pick you up?"
"My grandfather?" she sounds a little surprised.
"Yes, I'm sorry I didn't tell you that he was picking you up, but I had no way of telling you."
The man from the school walks into the room, "So Xavier's, I see your still up," he laughs gently, but with a saddened tone to it, "Kantami have you calmed yet?"
The girl turns around suddenly upon hearing his voice, she moves closer to her father, who laughs softly, a light laugh, more at his daughter's jumpiness. "Hello dad," he says, "What happened with Kantami?"
Kantami blushes a little, but looking at the man, she realizes her father just called him dad, "But... you're Sire Kontsushigomi... we're Kintishigomi..."
He smiles at her, "Yes, that's correct Kantami, but that's because your father changed his name to get away from the stress of being a Kontsushigomi. I am, in fact, your grandfather," he says still smiling, his eyes not leaving her. He had missed her growing up.
            "Dad?"
"He's your grandfather... and dad, she may be living with you, but no gang stuff. She's not getting into that! It's why I left in the first place."
"Alright, I'll respect your wishes, but if she wants to get into it, I'm not going to stop her."
"Don't force it on her dad!" he warns.
"Alright, alright, don't worry. Now rest Xavier, you need your sleep, or your going to end up killing yourself." the man says, now on the other side of the bed as Kantami. He gives her a smile.
Her father looks at her, "Go to his house and relax Kantami, I want you to have an actual place to sleep. Please, he is your grandfather."
The girl looks at her father and knows she has no place to argue. She nods, "Alright dad... You get better alright?"
"I will. I love you Kantami, be good for your grandfather."
"Alright dad." she says giving him a soft kiss.
"Go get settled now, I'm sure your grandfather will want to get you clothing and such. He's been working on a room for you all day."
The girl nods, "Yes daddy," she says and walks away with the man said to be her grandfather. She feels uneasy as this is the first time she has even seen the man face to face. She goes outside to the car with him. It is a beautiful black car with dark tinted windows. The man that sits in the front passenger seat has her backpack and her coat. He was one of the men that had followed her. He wears the same as the other males in white. His skin is light in color, while the other one, with the same color skin, is wearing all black. He is driving. Both of them are the ones that had followed her to the hospital. The other guards took various cars.
