Description Chapter One
The Pre-Party Agenda

       Sebastian stood right below Adrianna's window as he worked on the flowers that grew there. The girl had handpicked them so she could have beautiful flowers to look at. It had taken an entire day for the girl and her mother to go about picking the flowers out at the flower shop. Now the girl used the flowers as a distraction, because she liked looking at the male servant currently working on her flower bed.
       Sebastian stood at a full six feet tall, and would probably only gain another inch or two in the years to come. He was just fifteen years old after all, and extremely smart. Sebastian had graduated school at thirteen, but as he tried to make it out on his own, he quickly found himself working under Adrianna Kain's family, as the foster-care system kicked him out since he was officially out of school, however thankfully her family had picked him up pretty fast.
       Sebastian's hair fell in his face, it was black as night against his pale skin. His blue lavender eyes shown out from under his long bangs. The rest of his hair was tied in a ponytail that went partway down his back. He was dressed in a suit despite the fact that he was doing yard work, however he managed to stay clean. He smirked as he noticed that Adrianna was holding her teddy bear and watching him out her bedroom window, she really was a sweet kid. She was five years younger than he was which let him get away with calling her a child. She normally laughed when he did so.
       She peered down at Sebastian with bright blue eyes. Her light brown curls fell around her face and down her back. She liked to keep her hair long, and sometimes made Sebastian French braid it so that she could spend more time with him. Adrianna had a need for attention at times, as the house was big, but there weren't many people to actually play with. Her skin was just as pale as his, and Sebastian had a habit of calling the girl an angel. Perhaps this was because he was actually not human himself, or it could also be because the child was as sweet as candy, or maybe it was just the fact that the child spent hours out in the sun, and her skin still glittered its pale white tone.
       Sebastian, though the youngest on staff, was the one who practically ran the home. He did the best he could for the family, as he loved his job. He enjoyed one part of his day the best though. It was the part of the day where he was able to settle down for four hours so that he could teach Adrianna after her lunch. He had to go over all of her home school work with her because her father was often too busy to take the time to sit down with her, and partly because Adrianna had picked Sebastian to be her tutor.
       While Sebastian taught her, she was encouraged to remain imaginative, for it gave her father ideas. Jonathan was very protective of his little girl, but mostly because he considered her his little gift of inspiration, which he often shortened to "Angel" to help keep the child happy. It was also why he talked to her about everything, if she didn't like the idea, it most likely wouldn't fly. Everyone that had actually found out about this system often told him that it was crazy, despite the overwhelming success that the two seemed to have when it came to the release of new products.
       Adrianna was also told many times that it wasn't a great idea to fall in love with the servant boys. She was told terrible things about them in hopes of spiking anger toward them so she wouldn't bring his reputation down because his daughter started to date one of his helpers. This came after finding a picture of Adrianna hugging Sebastian. Reputation was everything when it came to selling stocks, and selling product. He was worried about his reputation much more than everything else. It had been this way since Adrianna's mother died. Without her, he felt as if his life really didn't have meaning. He just wanted to set his child up for success and get his life over with already. It made him cold and distant, despite his efforts to reconnect to his daughter.
       Adrianna still held her teddy as she watched Sebastian move around below the window as he was continuing to fix up the front for the big party her father was throwing in honor of the new chain restaurant that he had just started. Adrianna, and his deceased wife were his inspiration for this as well. The family had been out making public appearances in the openings for many companies, and because Jonathan had been trying to keep up with appearances, he was trying to take his five year old into fancy restaurants that cooked with all sorts of alcohol and thing that children should be eating, not to mention the fact that they usually didn't like it. However, her father also didn't want to be caught at a restaurant that served kiddy meals with a toy and a person in a huge costume that just laughed at your misery. Jonathan figured that a line of children's restaurants, where the kids menu was more than just macaroni and cheese and a hotdog, without the funky characters and flashing lights would be just what the parents would really like. It mixed the classic food for adults, with a wide range of children's food. It also had arcade rooms, and special security measures to ensure that every child left with the correct parent or guardian.
       Today Jonathan would be cutting the ribbon, enjoy a meal there, and then throw a party in honor of this accomplishment, all the while, he would have his girl standing beside him, her first public appearance since her mother had died a year ago.
       Jonathan had made every effort to make sure that there were other children Adrianna's age there, however, she never seemed to get along with the children, often because they teased her and called her names such as "home schooled baby", as she didn't attend the school that the rest of the children of her wealth status attended. It didn't bother Adrianna that much though, she had gotten used to the cruel names and the unnecessary jokes that they played on her, but that didn't mean that she wanted to stand there and just take it. Jonathan worried that she wasn't getting enough social interaction with people her own age, and quite often he didn't pay attention to how hard it was on Adrianna with the people he was trying to surround her with. He didn't act on the idea of constantly having people her age around her mostly because he was too busy doing his own thing, and when he did put people around her, he didn't really care so long as she would come to him happy at the end of the day, but like most busy parents, he missed one thing, he missed the fact that she was coming to him wearing a fake smile, and telling him it was alright, just so that her father would feel like he was at least doing a good job with her.
       Jonathan walked in and silently watched his daughter stare down at Sebastian. He gave a sigh, and wondered why the girl would even think about liking Sebastian. He gave a huff as he was quite displeased with the thought of his daughter with Sebastian. He thought he had straitened this out two years ago when he had hired Sebastian as her personal butler, but apparently there was still some confusion.
       "Adrianna, dearest, you need your bath so that we can go to the event. I'll even give it to you this time," he said in an attempt to bond with his only daughter. Usually a servant gave her a bath (as many rich people sometimes did), but today he decided that so long as he was keeping up appearances, and in a long shot attempt to make the girl love him a little more than her already unconditional love she had for him, he decided that he would be the one to give her a bath today. It was the least he could do today, and perhaps, since he was going to try to connect with her, that she would actually cooperate with him at the ceremony so that he didn't look like a fool.
       As Jonathan pealed his daughter away from the window, he took her up into his arms, just as Sebastian finished the front. As Sebastian saw the girl was away from the window he laughed softly as he walked into the large home, he just hoped that the poor girl wasn't in trouble. His mind slowly slipped into the memories of the day he actually joined the staff at the Kain mansion…
~~~~~
       Adrianna's parents were allowing her to pick the next butler, her own personal butler because the child was getting to be a bit of a handful for the couple, since Jonathan was constantly pulling his wife away to help him with his new ideas. All the applicants were getting settled, and the child was looking over everyone. Each had had a special interview with the girl in hopes of impressing her enough to let them be hired. They didn't quite like the idea of being a butler to a child, however, it was a job at the Kain household, an honor in itself. It just so happened that Sebastian was walking by as everyone was settling and the girl was about to chose. She didn't particularly like any of the applicants, she had sensed the distaste that they had for her and her mind was easily intrigued by the man walking by.
       The child's words were clearly spoken "Daddy I don't like those people," which caused Sebastian to stop and look at her, as he wondered what was going on, and before Sebastian could walk away, something about her caught his eye causing him to pause there watching the child. When his eyes caught the look her father was giving, he wondered exactly what the man would do. Sebastian had heard about the "rich types", and wondered if this family was as snooty as the rest. As her father tried to figure out what the girl had just said, she felt the new set of eyes upon her, and looked up at Sebastian. Adrianna's eyes seemed to light up as she studied him, her lips turned into a small smile, and before her father could utter a word about her needing a butler, or before the silent shock had faded from the room, she said quite clearly, "Daddy, that one!" she pointed at Sebastian tugging her father's hand over to see the male. Sebastian could hardly remember the interview, as he had still been in a bit of a daze over being picked. He did remember, however, being driven right home to the mansion.
~~~~~
       Sebastian kept working; he was in charge of the whole house after all. He needed to make sure everything was in order. The back was put together aside from the food, and that was what Sebastian was focusing on at the moment, he, like always, wanted everything to be perfect for the party. Jonathan was very careful with entertainment as it was. He was always worried that the party could make or break him (mostly because they could). These parties, if they went exceptionally well, would cause the profits to increase as his big money friends would help advertise him at no cost to him. Despite how much money Jonathan made, he really didn't want to spend it if he didn't have to, he'd rather invest it into his estate, his belongings and his daughter.
       Sebastian started up the stairs to get some items for the party from the storage room. He had both hands folded behind his back as he walked silently up the grand staircase. He sees the girl in a towel, running at the top of the stairs. She was giggling as she was doing this just to have fun with her father (she never did this for any of the maids). Sebastian watched as her foot slip, and she began to fall down the stairs. His eyes go wide, and he runs up the stairs and catches her mid-fall, before she was able to hit a single stair. He held her against his body softly, just happy that she was alright, he sighed softly looking down at her, "Adrianna, you need to be more careful," he spoke softly, "Are you alright?"
       "How did you get there Sebastian?!" the girl asked amazed as she looked up at him, she didn't really notice his question as he had surprised her more by practically appearing out of nowhere to catch her. She was breathing hard as studied him. The fall had scared her, which wasn't surprising to Sebastian. Now he just had to explain how he managed to get to the top of the stairs from the bottom in a split second.
       "I'm magic," he smiled down at her, but he couldn't quite explain to her what exactly allowed him to move so quickly up the stairs. He didn't want to put that kind of a burden on the child, and he didn't want her to go up to her father and try to convince him of it. It would probably get her thrown in the loony bin, and get him sent right behind her.
       "I knew you were special," the child giggled, she was so innocent.
       Sebastian's white shirt was wet from her hair already, and he was walking at a normal speed with her to her room so he could get her dressed. He didn't mind, and then he seen her father come up to them also in a soaking wet shirt, "Sebastian, could you possibly get her dressed?" he asked crossly, "I have to get ready myself." His voice was a bit snappy, and with that Jonathan walked off, thinking nothing of having a male servant dress his girl. Sometimes, being in the mansion with the servants (whom he trusted) made him forget about the danger a male could be to a young girl.
       Sebastian shook his head, and despite knowing that it was wrong in the eyes of society, he kept walking toward her room as looked down at the girl who though he was some sort of wizard. He would tell her soon enough, but for now, he had to get her ready. The party and opening ceremony were quite important (especially to her father), and she couldn't exactly go to either in a towel.
       Sebastian set her down in front of her large mirror, making sure that the towel was around her to keep her warm before he went to find something for her to wear from her closet, which seemed endless despite how much the girl actually hated to go shopping, or getting fitted for clothing.
       In the back of the closet Sebastian found a hidden collection of her mother's things. There was a dress which had been her mother's favorite, as well as some very special hair clips that her mother had always loved. Her mother had burned alive inside of her car, as well as her personal servant, who had been driving the car for her. It was just a week after Sebastian had been brought into the family. It pained him that the girl was still crying over her mother as he noticed fresh tears on the dress. He wondered if her father knew she was still grieving silently over her mother, but it wasn't his place to interfere. He left the dress alone, as well as the little alter of her mother's belongings that he remembered her father throwing away.
       Sebastian picked out a different dress from the girl's closet, one that he really thought suited the young mistress. He looked over it, checking to make sure that everything checked out with the dress, as he didn't want her to wear a dress that was soiled or torn in any way. He smiled seeing that it was well taken care of before he whisked it out to the girl. He hung it on a hook next to the mirror before he grabbed her undergarments and moved over to the girl kneeling down in front of her, "Let me take that towel and get you dried the rest of the way off." He was gentle as he talked to her, because he wanted her to be able to completely trust him.
       She dropped her towel with a giggle. Sebastian rolled his eyes with a smile, but started drying her off really well, "Turn around," he said, and as she did, he stopped. He could only stare. The child had two long pale birthmarks, but that was just a mask for what was hidden underneath. He shook his head slightly, trying to remain calm and started to dry her back and legs off gently. He picked up a second towel from the stock in her room as he dried her hair with the new towel. He had her back turned to the mirrors.
       As soon as he finished drying her hair, he took off one of his gloves, and examined the girl's marks a little closer. Sebastian ran his fingers down the girls back, and muttered a soft spell wondering if it would actually make the hidden wings appear. There was a soft glow, and he caught a glimpse of her wings before he pulled all of the energy away, despite the fact that the pure angel energy hurt him as he absorbed it. He felt his arm and hand was burned. He slipped his glove back on quickly, to hide it as he also pulled down his sleeve.
       "Everyone does that the first time they see those marks… they always touch them to see if I'm sensitive or not… it's normal skin, promise," she said looking up at him. She didn't really seem to mind. It was nothing new to her, everyone stared when they seen her back, the long pale birthmarks weren't exactly normal as they seemed to sparkle a bit more than her pale skin.
       Sebastian didn't know what to say. This was the second time in not even ten minutes that he couldn't tell the child the truth. He sighed softly and looked into her eyes, as he turned her around "Sorry, My Lady," he said helping her into her underwear, after already having put on her training bra. He then pulled her dress over her head, and got her completely ready, including her hair, which today she wore in long curls. He was very quiet, allowing the girl to talk to him as much as she wished to. He did it all with a smile because he liked the way she talked with him - so free and happy.
       As soon as the child ran off to do her own thing, Sebastian walked into his own room to change his own clothing to get himself ready for the store opening, which he was required to attend so that he could keep an eye on Adrianna incase her father got talking too much. When they were out in public, the story was that Sebastian was Jonathan's adopted son, who kept after his sister because he cared so much. When there were guests, he remained in that role, and when people questioned why he ran off to see things through with the servants, Jonathan told them that he was allowing the boy to learn how to run the house, as well as the business. The major problem with Sebastian was these ideas, not for the fact that he was so close to the family, but for the fact that he was so young, and, as far as Jonathan knew, Sebastian was an orphan. This would be bad publicity for Jonathan and his companies. He knew that the headlines would read "Children's Restaurant Chain Leader Abuses Child Labor Laws" or something close. Sebastian didn't mind bearing the Kain name, and as he loved his job so much, he kept quiet so that he could keep his position in the household.
       Sebastian walked downstairs after getting himself dressed. He was careful to wear his white gloves with his black suit. He hoped that Jonathan wouldn't notice, but of course, that wasn't exactly the case.
       "Sebastian, why are you wearing your gloves, we're going out," Jonathan says as he walked up. He studied his "son" carefully, wanting to make sure that everything would run smoothly. Jonathan had actually adopted him after all, and was only beginning to gain a connection to the boy. He, too, was still wounded from his wife's sudden passing. At the moment, however, he was holding his daughter who had a mischievous grin on her face, which usually meant she was planning something, but the innocence around her was usually what people saw, it was only a select few that could actually see this. Even Jonathan missed it usually. He was leading Sebastian to the limo that they would arrive at the event in.
       "It's just a burn, but it burned my whole hand. It was my fault. I tried to catch a pan of boiling water, only for it to spill on my hand. I figured gloves would look better than the bad burn that I have," he lied with ease. It wasn't that hard, and it would protect both secrets…
       The family climbed into the back of the limo and began to drive to the opening event. Jonathan began to explain everything to Sebastian and his daughter, as well as the very important, "Eat food fit for your age". Jonathan wanted to keep up appearances, and he definitely wanted to make sure that people thought his children were not being spoiled in the least bit. Jonathan was cold in his appearance, and very strict when it came to things in front of people, sometimes he would show a soft spot for his daughter when they were alone, he tried to be happy and open for her, but he was discouraged under it all… How could he possibly be so happy and loving to the girl when there was so much to do and think about? Could he really give up the time and effort on his work to spend time with his little girl? She had her choice, if she wanted to spend time with him, she'd have to learn to work with him, if not, she could go about her own business.
       As the limo pulled away, lightning seemed to flash atop the house. Sebastian gave a shiver as he had caught sight of it out of the corner of his eye. In this world, he knew it was very odd that lightning would strike only once, not to mention on a clear sunny day such as this one. He wondered what would be waiting for them back at the mansion when they returned, however, he didn't alert the family, as he was sure that he could deal with it... somehow...

You're a genius, Mel!
It's really creative and cool... I don't know... It's awesome!!!

Just one thing:
I don't think a ten-year-old-girl would like to be dressed completly. I mean... It's a child but not that little that she wouldn't know the dangers herself or won't be emberassed. That's my opinion.

And sry, it took me so long to read it but as it is very long I was too lazy...

well if you're rich, like a king or queen, or just have servants, sometimes, yes, they would be clothed completely by the servants... I did some research into it, no worries.
