Chapter One
The party

        Sebastian stood below the mansion window as he worked hard to make it look perfect for the family. They were going to be having a party, and the front needed to look as good as the back. He felt eyes on him, and without picking his head up, he seen the master's child Adrianna peering down at him. He gave a smile, not wanting to let on that he knew she was watching. She was quite a bit younger than him. He could not let her father know that he actually was getting a soft spot for the girl, especially when her father just had a talk with Adrianna about not having crushes on the help. He was always worried about her since she always acted weird around Sebastian.
        Adrianna continued to peer down at the thin male below her as she held her favorite teddy bear close to her. She was only ten years old after all. She studied the man who had long black hair, and a strong build. The male was still watching the girl as he continued to move in the front to make sure that everything would be in the correct place. He smiled a little brighter at Adrianna's giggles; he could hear her with his special ears. Sebastian wasn't exactly human. Actually the only human thing about this male was his appearance, and even that bordered a god's beauty in the girl's eyes, as well as many other admirers. This man was a demon in disguise, a demon who had fallen in love with an angel, which is what children truly were, and to Sebastian, Adrianna was a true angel. He knew to keep it to himself, however. The demon actually was only fifteen, five years older than the child which he was still watching as he worked. He was experienced though, despite his age, and almost nobody believed his age.
        Jonathan walked into the girl's room quietly watching her look out the window, "Adrianna, you need to be getting ready, the party is in three hours, and you still haven't had your shower yet!" he began, catching her around the waist and picking her up.
       The child was giggling, "Alright daddy!" she laughed lightly, happy that her father was taking care of her like this. He walked to the bathroom with her. He normally didn't give her a bath; a servant of the house usually did as much, but today was different, because of the party. It was special to her father, and he wanted her to really connect with him before the party so that Adrianna had a better chance of making it through the normal all adult parties that she had to attend. He usually let Adrianna tag along after Sebastian after a while due to the child's need to be entertained, but today, he wanted her by his side the entire time. It was a party to celebrate the new line of children's restaurants that the Akin Company had just begun. These restaurants took off almost immediately, which was enough to cause Jonathan to want to celebrate.
        Adrianna laughed as her father was giving her a bath, they were playing with some of her bath toys. Jonathan believed that she needed to have an active imagination. She was the source of many of his great ideas, and that was reason enough to make sure that she could keep her imagination fresh. Sebastian was the one who home-schooled her for Jonathan to make sure that she was nice and calm as well as well educated. It was quite important to both of them. She was such a bright child. Her eyes always lit up when she was learning, and were always bright when she was explaining her own new ideas. Sebastian loved encouraging her, and then he would take what she had done to her father, and tell him what she had done. He, himself, had graduated school when he was thirteen, many of his teachers wondered how it was that he became a butler rather than going on to bigger and greater things such as being a doctor or a law maker, they thought he had so much potential, but it didn't seem like he wanted to go ahead with his life. Sebastian always liked working for something, or for someone. Being on his own didn't suite him very well though, and he soon found himself working for Jonathan. His daughter was the one hiring at the time, she was just seven, and it was the first time her father had let her make such a big decision. Oddly enough, Sebastian hadn't even applied, he just happened to walk by at the right time. The seven-year-old had just gone up to him and grabbed his hand. Every time he thought about how much he liked to be here, the girl's voice popped into his head "I want him Daddy! I think he's the right one!"
        Sebastian smiled as he worked, he had just finished the front and went to check on the other servants who were preparing the food. They all seem like they were getting it together nicely, and he began to set the food out in the back. Sebastian had to help a few chefs as the smell of burnt food began to fill the air. Sebastian was quick to save the remaining food before the entire dish burned.
