~They say being immortal would be awesome, that it is what everyone wants. I beg to differ. On that subject, your body does change, you DO get “old” but when you want to “die” you do. Although instead of death, you chose your next body. The body, still in the mother’s womb, still soul-less, whispering the name to the parents as you enter. That name, your name.
~There is no way to tell who is immortal and who is not. I’d like to say we heal faster, but we don’t. We’re just like everyone else, but we remember everything, limited only by the body, the container. Limited to only make connections to the body in which its eyes have seen. The past that you’ve seen, and its vocabulary are quite normally locked up.
~Heh- if only I was writing a book… maybe then someone would understand the true reason I distance myself. The true reason I don’t cry at funerals or weddings. Maybe… but only another immortal would truly understand… only… only if only.
The teacher reads the Paper out loud. A few kids in the class are laughing. The teacher, however, smiles, “Very good Xel, you could try writing a book with this piece. It could be like a diary for the character. I’m sure it would turn out well!” she praises.
~I nod as not to be rude, what she didn’t know is that it wasn’t as fictional as she had asked for. This is really my life. I am Xeliana Sheshi and this is how I live day to day. Surprisingly it still doesn’t strike people as odd that I know everything being taught almost before it is taught, that I can finish people’s sentences and thoughts. I can do that. That is what is special about me. I can read and see into people’s minds. People are just that open. It’s a dull murmur to me even in a silent room, only because I’ve learned to quiet other’s thoughts. There is one person in this class however, that I cannot hear. It makes me wonder… is he immortal as well?
