Description
I thought i would make this to introduce my newest KH pony character, and Also new KH character. Both are ponies I own DireLock and Baryon Owns the awesome heartless Pony i used alot of time and plenty of detail's so i hope you all enjoy it. They are on Destiny island enjoying a nice relaxing sunset. but unfortunately Dire has already kind of fell asleep XD. and Failing Is a heartless pony can't really sleep so yeah.Related content

Woah. I've never seen a friendly Heartless other than Sora's Heartless. That's pretty awesome. I'm just surprised that he hasn't tried to take her heart or get her to yield to the darkness.

Hmm. Well he looks interesting. I can't tell if he's a Pureblood Heartless or an Emblem. I mean, he's ink black and has yellow eyes like a Pureblood, but he has Xehanort's symbol. It's confusing. What type of Heartless is he?

But there's no such thing as a boss Heartless. Only Pureblood and Emblem. Two types.

But Boss Heartless is not a type of Heartless. You aren't listening to me. It's been stated in the games, specifically 358/2 Days, that there are two types of Heartless. Pureblood and Emblem. Purebloods are bred purely from the darkness in people's hearts. They are ink black with beady yellow eyes and release no hearts when slain. Emblem Heartless were originally created from machines that reproduce the process of a heart being consumed by darkness. They come in different colors and shapes and have Xehanort's symbol to differentiate them from the Purebloods and release hearts when slain. While, Purebloods are more common in worlds that are close to the darkness, such as The World That Never Was, Emblem Heartless are more common in worlds of the Realm of Light and usually take the form of something related to that world.

Failing Hope's origins are pretty shrouded. He... or more accurately "it," can change shape and form at will. While "he" would mostly resemble a Pureblood he is above and beyond what most heartless are capable of and as such is not so easily defined as either. He doesn't take on any form related to the world he was found in, but neither is he entirely bred from the darkness in people's hearts. He is partially the darkness of hearts, partially a void without form or known origin. I would more step into the realm of calling him a "Special Variant Heartless" since while still seeking power and having the desire to consume others, he is also capable of willfully denying this, and actively assists the Keyblade Warrior Direlock in her battles against the other heartless.

So you're saying he's a Special Heartless like Ansem, Seeker of Darkness or Sora's Heartless?

I could say so. Failing Hope has his own agenda, his own reasons, own plans. He isn't driven by instinct like many heartless, or controlled like others. He's what could be seen as a "boss" Heartless, but only because of his level, per say. He has his own reasons for helping Direlock, and they are to further his own goals.
If that makes him a special type, then that is what he is.

Well, that seems to make him a special Heartless. Sora's Heartless is a special Heartless because it still held Sora's will and memories. Which is why it didn't attack Kairi, Donald, or Goofy. Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, doesn't seem to act like a Heartless and he seems to act on a will of his own with a goal of his own. This goal, was to get Kingdom Hearts, thinking that's it's supreme darkness. However, he soon found out that Kingdom Hearts is light and was destroyed by it and Sora.

Yeah, while this heartless isn't after Kingdom Hearts he does have a number of those same trait. He's strong-willed but nearly emotionless.
And since it serves his goals best, he aids Direlock in her fight against other heartless.
