My first stamp! This is in response to a picture.... URGH.... by one of my FORMER favorite DA artists, blackhellcat. Today she put up a picture of Rin from Kodomo no Jikan all bloody and being threatened with a knife by the teacher she keeps, uh, teasing. Okay, I know blackhellcat has RAGE against the whole loli/jailbait thing, but saying that one deserves to be cut up with a knife? Really? Well, I've taken her off the watch list for sure.Fav this stamp if you don't like seeing poor little Rin (or Sasami, or Sakura, or whoever) being abused because someone thought they "deserved it".
EDIT: Okay, blackhellcat apologized and explained the picture was satirical. I accepted her apology but I still don't approve of the picture. And I'm leaving the stamp up. It's pretty satirical in itself (if I was really being 100% serious, I would have said "anime children" not "lolis" :-P)

Say no to killing video game characters, that's right, this stamp is the same way how I feel about videos and artworks that shows animated and cartoony video game characters (like Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox McCloud, Pikachu, Banjo & Kazooie, Conker, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, Pac-Man, etc. for example) getting all bloody and being killed in horrible graphic violent ways, I hate these type of videos and artworks that shows all that stuff.

Although I dunno if this makes me hypocritical, but - I like drawing lolis who are violent themselves against adults. I'm not sure why, maybe it's representative of retaliation against the loss of innocence by corrupt adults, but I like it when the lolis get their revenge. When they can be cute and scary at the same time. XD

It can also be used to describe the people who are interested in such material.
Also, loli does not equal lolicon. Loli just means little anime girl, and doesn't by itself insinuate anything pornographic, although the two are often lumped together.

If you've seen my replies to that pic, you know where I stand.
I don't care if it was satirical or not, I'm sure there are other ways to show your discontent for a show than killing the main character. She likes poking fun at the loli lovers, but this was one occasion where I was not amused (to put it lightly).
Anyway, if I had a subscription, I'd so use this. But for now, I'll just fave it.

Well, i think it's a sign she needs help. In fact, I know she needs help, a couple months ago she tried to commit suicide.
But anyway, yeah, I can see being disturbed by the supposed sexualization of children (though frankly from what I've seen of the anime, its only a little worse than my grade-school hijinks. Heh). But she retaliated by depicting violence against children. What does that say about her?

Well, I do agree that it -could- be a sign that help is needed. But on the same token, somebody on Gaia once posted a link to some anime called NaruTaru. Now, that shit was messed up. I watched just a few minutes of one episode, and I was done.
You really can't single her out. There are tons of people out there doing the same thing. And because she allegedly committed suicide doesn't mean she's a deranged maniac.
It's really just a piece of art. We don't know why she made it.

I didn't say she allegedly committed suicide, I said she tried to. Fortunately, DA let her know she had support.
This is DeviantART, there are many people with many different viewpoints. There are some people who think cute little anime girls deserve to die because they don't gel with western morals. But there are some that don't. In the end, yes, it is just a piece of art, and this is just a stamp in response to it. She has the right to have her say and so do I. So let's not argue, please.
