A piece that has left me so very speechless...
Purely contrastive in a most amazing way...
That movement but at the same time so still...
It seems to be screaming but can't be heard...
And it seems so happy and at the same time so sad...

This picture reminds me of a Zen poem or a painting. Few lines to capture a whole sensation...Great work...

Great shot, I love the minimalist composition. Empty space can create a great amount of feeling, and you've portrayed that here very well.

. . . Suffering is one very long moment. We cannot divide it by seasons. We can only record its moods, and chronicle their return. With us time itself does not progress. It revolves. It seems to circle round one centre of pain.
So Oscar Wilde begins his essay 'De Profundis'. I don't know whether you had this in mind when you named this piece. In its melancholy grey and quiet reflectiveness, with its spreading ripples suggesting rain or teardrops, and with its isolated grasses breaking through the surface into the brighter air above, this could indeed be a metaphor for his treatise for pain, degradation and eventual transcendance into hope and optimism.
Wilde finishes with this prayer to Nature, this declaration of faith :
...I have grown tired of the articulate utterances of men and things. The Mystical in Art, the Mystical in Life, the Mystical in Nature this is what I am looking for...she will hang the night with stars so that I may walk abroad in the darkness without stumbling, and send the wind over my footprints so that none may track me to my hurt: she will cleanse me in great waters, and with bitter herbs make me whole./em>

'oriental'... it's got a bit of that 'drawing' or monochrome painting mood. I like the detail of the distorted reflection of the plant.

It's beautiful in its simplicity. Some technical info on it? What programs do you run it through afterwards?
