A winter scenery with a solitary tree is a concept that always seems to work for me.
The minimalistic approach as well as the faint toning are a winner and the gloomy feel it transcends really engulfs the viewer.
Maybe you should have straightened the horizon as this would have also straightened up the trunk as well, but this doesn't take away anything of this marvellous photograph…
