I think you mixed them up and meant "Sisters of Silence".
The orders militant of the adepta sororitas (The Sisters of Battle) are all classic human strain, all female.
The Sisters of Silence however, are all pariahs, blanks, according to the "Tales of Heresy" anthology anyway.

It's always hard for a Sister of Battle to be one-upped in terms of piety. Sisters of Silence have no souls and therefore don't receive any reward for dying in service to The Emperor, yet they serve him anyway.
