If you mean the "Sign of the Mechanicus" that she`s making with her hands, then it`s correct. It represents two cogwheels that work together (the fingers represent the gears teeths).

I always thought the fingertips were supposed to rest on the back of the hands (so the fingers represent one big gear), rather than be curled up on the palms (representing two gears)

Maybe that´s even up to debate. I couldn´t find any official canon picture that showed it exactly, so we can just rely on what fans came up with and agreed upon. 

I´ve also witnessed different variations of this, especially with the fingers stretched out, like you mentioned and some, showing the inner sides of your hands to your opponent in the end. 

The descriptions in the books mention it a bit blurry and just say that the fingers are linked with each other to represent the gears.
